I'm the Consequential Prophet and my following is growing.
When the train's already rolling I can tell you where it's going.
When the bomb's already falling I can tell you who's to die -
I can tell you how and when but never why.
I'm the Consequential Prophet, I'm a lover of despair.
I manipulate depression. It's the only suit I wear
but I've made it quite the fashion and you'll love it to the hilt
for it's carded, spun and woven out of guilt.
Not for me a Father's mansion or a palace in the sky.
I'm your here and now disaster-man. Forget the by and by.
When you're truly my disciples you will know, for you will feel
only agony is real, real, real.
I'm the Consequential Prophet, I'm a wallower in gloom,
I'm a peddler of despondency, a worshipper of doom
and I have to keep you miserable. I mustn't let you see -
if you ever learn to laugh you'll laugh at me.
did you compose that?
I enjoyed reading that very much
Why do consequential prophets wear those blinkers all the time
Only focussing on gloomy days and wallowing in whine
Oh if only they would raise their eyes from down to up on high
They might catch that glowing rainbow stretched out right across the sky!

Here's Shalini to the rescue on an unfrequented thread
(save for B.C. - thanks for asking - it's a poem from my head)
I was musing in 'Political', a forum I detest -
Why is everyone so negative? Start looking for the best ![]()
Good morning, ladies ![]()
well sir, it is a very , very good poem..and this just came straight from your head..I am an artist, but not an artist with words, I am an artist with my hands and designs, you sir have an amazing talent with words!
Oooooo, very descriptive of people I know. Nice one Paraglider.
If it is ok, I would like to join your fan club to see more of your word talent ..it really is an impressive art, I hope it never gets wasted...

'Tis the verse Paraglider - gets me every time ![]()
Thanks, Black Cat ![]()
Hi Jewells - I finally wrote the follow-up to the rational ethics thing by the way. You were asking after it a while back.
Could you add this to your hubs Paraglider then I can ref it. I'd rather link to your page than a forum.

Ahhhh, thanks I'll go see.
Ah, some sunshine in the morning ![]()
(Well, it's morning here, and a nice one. Bright, sunny, not much wind so no dust clouds, about 28C - time for a walk by the sea, I think)

Good morning, ladies
Paraglider mentions the prophet of doom,
While Shalini says to look up, forget the gloom.
I have to think of myself when he muses over the Political forum,
I can't say that I have brought the best decorum.
These two word smiths can sure weave a tale,
Some of it should actually be offered for sale.
Shalini finishes Paraglider's poem in a nice way,
Be happy, have a rainbow day.
