I was wondering if anyone had any advice for a hubber who can't seem to get a SINGLE HUB TO reach a hubscore of 90. I realize I may come off as VERY 80s but come on.
Seriously though....Veterans? Any words of wisdom other than WRITE BETTER HUBS will be greatly appreciated.
Write more evergreen Hubs, the stuff that people are searching for in the search engines.
Look at your highest-HubScore Hubs - their titles much more closely match what someone might type into Google than the majority of your Hubs.
You might also try to get links into your hubs from other sites like your blog, etc. Traffic helps raise your Hubscore.

So we're saying that people search for Hotties, understandable. Do people really google THE WORST SONGS? Why?
I tried using Social Poster to bring in traffic and it had like zero effect. (20 PV's each)
I hope there's more to it than this or I'll never get the kind of satisfaction I'm seeking.
I would see which ones are getting traffic. Traffic seems to correlate to Hubscore very strongly.
The key is writing useful information for people who are searching on search engines. My highest-traffic hub is on how to make your own yogurt. #2 has info/links to 3 sites with free tattoo ideas.
Funny hubs are great for people who might just happen on it, but they're not typically the type of things people search on.
Why is Hubscore the most important thing to you? You have 106 fans. I'd say that's a pretty strong endorsement of how much you're liked here.
Get the f**k more traffic to your hubs.
Stop f****g whining and start promoting them. Tell ya sista and brotha all over the net you f***g have them here. Sorta backlinkz, ya no?
Oh, and tis litta thingie you needa first - keyword research. Gotta know WTF is that if ya wanna make a dime hea
Hope my exercise is not too silly ![]()

It isn't the most important thing at all...It's just the ONE THING I have not accomplished! I see other HUBS that get 100 and say, "hey, why not me?"
I know it's MY FAULT but I just thought there might be ONE THING I'm not doing that a veteran like you might spot easily.
MISHA - I love it. Tough Love NEW YORKER style, but your advice is doo doo.
I have told my friends and they've been around but that ain't it. I need to know HOW to bring in that little more general public traffic. Like I said, I HAVE been to Social Poster but it doesn't seem to affect traffic.
Rae & Dark Side & Maddie & Isabella: these are the people in who's company I aspire to be, as I think we all do. Just reaching out..
You are asking the right questions - like this "Do people really google THE WORST SONGS?". BTW, "why" is irrelevant. Whatever the reason is, people do search for some phrases, and do not search for others. You don't need to know "why" to bring in the traffic.
And keyword research answers the question "what people are searching for in your niche?". And then you get busy creating hundreds and thousands of backlinks with those words in the anchor text. Rinse and repeat...
My Sherona, dudadadunt dunt, dunt dunt da da da, my sherona. ![]()
If your hubs are scoring in the 80's, who cares?
Just keep doing what you're doing.
Locally, and I mean in the offline world, do you have much in the way of 'street press'?
A local newspaper type of magazine that's independently published.
Pitch a column at them. Whether it be about the local music scene or even music history. And sign off each column with a link to your HubPages profile.
It'll get you some top quality traffic and also give you a lot of rep in the local music scene.

Backlinks with those words in the anchor text?
I wish I wasn't so stupid on the computer.
<Hits himself in the forehead a la Chris Farley>
My niche is SIMPLE. People DL music all day long and don't know what they want.
I make lists so they can remember what they want. Period.
Hmmm. So you are saying a tag like Limewire or BitTorrent or Napster or Download Free Music would bring those people?
Possibly. I don't know your niche, so I can't say for sure. Also, you need to consider what you want your visitors to do - if you bring people looking for downloads, and give them downloads through adsense, this might be a multimillion dollar business
And Darkside's advice is very good, too ![]()

Ahhh Thank you. I'm on it.
FYI: I started a office job today writing articles for a HUGE DJ company who found me on hubpages! Thanks everybody!
The underlying theme here seems to be.."What are YOU bitchin about?" and I can certainly appreciate that because fans, hubs, etc are a blast.
How cares about a perfect score? <gritting teeth> My inner critic I guess.
DJ,
Contragulations on getting a job and being discovered via hubpages. It sounds like you already have achieved a great deal through here. I am sure the rest will come in time. Write with passion and you will shine forever. I always believe in myself, write with passion, and love the results

HUBSCORE 91 there now I can shut up! As IF!
Thanks to all of you who helped me reach the 110 FANS milestone and you have now viewed TWO OF MY HUBS over 1,000 times with The 100 Hottest Women in the World about to become #3 at over 970 PV's already.
Special Tip o the Hat to the notorious Jerrico Usher for helping me to understand how my enthusiasm mixed with inexperience online can be seen as obnoxious REAL QUICK.
Special Tip o the Hat to Glen of dark side fame as well. The only hubber to comment on what is DEFINITELY my best video ever. (Samples PART 7)
May these two one day be the best of friends. ![]()
