You can if you don't have any outgoing links in them. However, you still will get duplicate content penalty applied to your hubscore.

Re-write them - if can't write/buy new ones.

Well, I meant what I wrote - you can hire somebody to write articles for you

And yes, it is easy to find duplicate content - select a long phrase from you hub/article and just search for it in Google - you'll see how it works
