Traveling across the country with a 7 month old Spaniel

My puppy loves to ride in the car, but in about 10 weeks we will be traveling across the country to start a new life.

Has anyone ever done this before? Any ideas on how to stop him from eating the car.

He is active and loves to swim, but I can't stop every twelve hours to let him swim or play golf.

    Help!

Thank you. I am hoping that since my dog is constantly in the car with me and has toys in my car that the ride will feel like normal, Maybe I am living in a fantasy world, but I can keep my fingers crossed.

In my experience a soft cooling bed can help, either electric or home made with icebags.  Dogs get itchy and unhappy if they get hot.  I would also suggest getting a harness or large crate so you can make sure he stays in the dog zone.

      Welcome to the forum consentino.

A car seat for a dog, that’s brilliant.
