A fellow hubber asked us to join her in a 30 in 30 challenge. When I look at the link I see it is from 2 years ago. We all want to do this but is it okay to post up our hubs to that thread still?
Thanks!
Why would you waste your time? Hubpages is set to take over your hubs over the next year or so anyway.
What do you mean "take over"?
I am very curious to know myself Brittany.. I don't know what that means for all of us : /
I can't find any info online. I hope Keith gets back to us soon...
It's Keith's personal opinion. Apparently he wrote on a similar site elsewhere, which suddenly announced everyone had a week to remove their work or they would take over the copyright. He fears the same could happen on HubPages.
Thats quite an accusation. Surely their would be legal restrictions which they would infringe by doing that although the Huffington Post is a good case in point!
I suppose we should do some research!
I hope Keith will come back and tell us which site it was - there's no rule about not mentioning other sites here.
The thing is, if you write on someone else's site, you're always taking a risk because you're always at the mercy of their rule changes.
Like anything else, you have to weigh the pluses and minuses. Your writing will always be safer on your own blog or website - but if you're a newbie and have no idea about how to set up, monetize and promote your own site, you'll get no visitors so no one will ever read it! Revenue-sharing sites can be a good place to learn the ropes of online writing, especially a site like HubPages which has a supportive community, so there are plenty of opportunities to learn.
Hey guys and girls
If you are interested to take the 30 in 30 challenge here is the link to post each one onto once you've published them. Good luck and have fun!

The Forum thread that Darkside created is the thread you post to, regardless of how old the thread in the beginning is. That thread is updated almost daily from someone running a 30 Hubs in 30 Day Challenge, either with others or alone.
So, yes you can do 30 Hubs in 30 Day Challenges whenever you see fit to attempt them.
So--
Does this challenge involve actually writing a new hub each day, in sequence, and publishing them as they are written?
Would it be considered "cheating" to finish up several draft-stage hubs over a day or two, and then publish them on sequential days?
(I get into time and scheduling conflicts with my small (very small) business, and there are sometimes days or a week or more when I don't have time to look things up and write--then I go on a writing binge...) ![]()
Hey DzyMsLizzy,
Here is how I am interpreting it. You just simply write 30 hubs within 30 days. I suppose it wouldn't matter if you posted a few in one day and not the next. With two holidays mixed in here it will sort of be like that for all of us. There is a thread I will have to post up here for you. You should after publishing post them to that thread. Talk to you soon!
No, it wouldn't be considered cheating. There are no real rules about the 30 Hubs in 30 Day Challenge because it's not a contest and there are no prizes - it's simply a way to motivate yourself.
When I did my most recent Challenge, I sat down and started all 30 of my Hubs in the first week - just so they'd be sitting there unpublished, looking at me from my Account page, which would force me to finish them! I definitely published mine in fits and starts, too. - two one day, none for a week, etc.
Oh and by the way, that Challenge was the only one I finished - I tried and failed twice before that. But even in my failed Challenges, I wrote more Hubs than I would otherwise have gotten around to, so they were worthwhile.
Thanks Marisa
I have participated in the contest and some weekly inspirations but this will be my first challenge of this magnatude (only been here 3 months) I am a little worried with holidays but also, it actually gives me lots of ideas and inspiration about what I can write about!
OK--
Over my husband's protests of this being our "busy season," and "the holidays," I'm going to jump in and try it anyway. Hopefully, I'll succeed.
If not, there's always the old "try and try again..." If anything, I'll get a few more hubs out there...and kick up my writing discipline a notch or two, and spend more time actually writing than goofing off reading mindless posts on Face Book! ![]()
There...I've said it in public...now I have to knuckle down! ![]()
