World's Oldest Trick or Treater

Okay...I just turned off my outdoor light and I'm now hiding in the back room with my computer...after fending off the attack with candy.

I think I had the world's oldest tricker treater in there.  I'm sure it wasn't a costume and how could I say "You are too old for trick or treating!" when she didn't speak a lick of English and looked up at me from her adorable, wrinkled 80-something year old face with an impish grin and thrust her pillow case out before her?

I can't wait until I'm 80 years old...*adds to my list of things to do*

I've got you beat.  Mary Elner Murphy did a version of "trick or treating" this evening  -  at 95!

I have only had one trick or treater here, the mayor changed halloween to tomorrow night because our high school had a football game tonight.

I threw a halloween party for the neighborhood, we even had a fire pit out front so everyone knew where the candy was (the good stuff)...but all is quiet now on the "trick or treat front"...

There was a Halloween party at the community center tonight, so I only got 11 trick-or-treaters.  At least I had some, though!  Handed out playdough along with the candy, and they were thrilled with that!  "Mom, I got playdough!"  "I want white!"  "How many can we have?"

No one came to our door, but my friend had bought lots of cute treats such as pencils, bubbles, and crayons.  It was not candy, but it was still fun stuff smile.

So does anyone want to guess who will be the oldest tricker or treater coming to their door this year?
