This guide covers the action mission "A Sacred Place" in the mmorpg The Secret World, providing details on how to complete the various tiers and objectives. In A Sacred Place, the pastor Henry Hawthorne tasks the player with figuring out how the Church is protected from the zombie problem by a series of Illuminati wards and use this knowledge to extend the protection over the church's cemetery.

Tier 1

Draw Zombies into the Church

The first task you're given is to draw zombies into the church by kiting their agro, in order to test out the wards placed around the church, making it a safe heaven from the disaster outside.

Run outside the church and find some of the packs of Returned Townies which can be found right out on the lawn or near the street. Approach them or shoot them to get their attention and run inside the church doors to witness them attempt to enter then fall dead at the entrance thanks to the ward's power.

Tier 2

Study the first Illuminati Ward

Now it's time to take a look at the wards that serve to protect the church. The first of these wards can be found right outside the church door, on either side of the exterior wall, next to the door frame.

Study the second Illuminati Ward

You can find the next ward on the eastern/northeastern side of the church. It doesn't seem to matter to much which order you grab these in, but this was the second I grabbed for reference purposes.

You can find another, final ward on the western side of the building, as seen in the pictures to the upper right.

Tier 3

Draw three wards on the fence. (fake)

Technically this objective is actually split into three objectives, but for the sake of avoiding repetition and how this part plays out, this step is combined into one. At first you'll be given three different spots on the fence that surrounds the church graveyard that you need to draw wards on to purge the zombies from the cemetery, however this is a bit of a trick objective, considering what happens next.

Go to the eastern spot you're given so you are in the right position for the next Tier's objectives, and attempt to place the first ward. When you try to, you'll be knocked back and an enemy will spawn that you'll have to fight.

Kill the Unquiet Dead

Now you'll have to face the Unqiuet Dead special monster that spawned when you attempted to draw the first ward. The creature is not too difficult to down but likes to use an attack that leaves a stacking Accursed effect on you, that reduces healing, tab, barrier effects and does damage over time.

Tier 4

Draw the first ward on the graveyard fence.

Once you've downed the monster, you'll be given the same objectives you had before you tried to draw the first ward, but this time they will be legit and come one at a time instead of being active all at once. The first spot is on the east side of the cemetery as mentioned earlier.

Draw the second ward on the graveyard fence.

The second ward's spot will be on the west side of the cemetery.

Draw the third ward on the graveyard fence.

Finally, head to the north side of the cemetery to find the third and final spot. Make sure to check behind the mausoleum nearby (face south from the ward point) for a lore item you can collect.

Tier 5

Kill the Vengeful Hulk

Once you've drawn the final ward, a bright light shines over the graveyard before killing all of the zombies in a similar fashion as you saw at the church's entrance. These will only stay dead for about 20 or 30 seconds before respawning.

Right after this happens however, a Vengeful Hulk spawns and comes to attack you, which you'll have to kill to complete the mission. There isn't anything to special about the creature, besides being a bit tough and having a special knockback attack and a second more heavy damage area of effect attack, that can be seen by the white circle displayed on the ground. When you see the circle, its powering up the attack, which you should try to avoid by leaving said circle.
