Top Toys - Barbie Dolls-Index to a Virtual Gallery of Museum Quality Dolls

Barbie dolls are a dream, they are more than a toy, they represent what every little girl can be when she grows up.

Dreams are what greatness is made of. Without dreams we would not accomplish the great edifices of architectural delight, fly to the moon, or imagine the power of the Internet in a palm size device. Life is richer with dreams.

Enjoying the creation of Ruth Handler is a joy. Here I have a chance to collect thousands upon thousand of photos of the best of the best of Barbie dolls. All without dusting!

Oh, you might see a fanatical middle age woman compiling these thousands of delights. I grew up in amazement with the beauty and the magic these dolls could offer.

Journey with me and share my virtual museum of Barbie Dolls. The collection is complete with the history of Ruth Handler which the K12 websites love for some reason to the Jill Barad and Roger Sweet information. For you see the history of the innovation and the power of the Mattel is something that we can all learn from.

Thank you for journeying with me throughout all the famous movies, famous celebrities celebrated in various barbie doll designs. Do you have a personal favorite? What is most memorable to you? Please share your memories and stories below with us.

Is your favorite the barbie doll perhaps the lady with the remarkable violet eyes? Elizabeth Taylor? Or perhaps you love the My Fair Lady series with Audrey Hepburn? I am drawn to the Grace Kelly barbie but when I was younger the Gold-lamé had me and the two dresses in gold - Marilyn Monroe's gold-lamé and the Elizabeth Taylor Cleopatra had me awestruck. But then there are the hats. The hats are glorious too! And no one could wear a hat consistently more beautifully than Audrey Hepburn. Oh, the dreamy days of glamor.

I wish my girls had kept their Barbies's in better condition. They gave all the Barbie's haircuts!

I'm afraid my girls also gave their Barbie's horrendous make overs too but that didn't stop me from enjoying this great read. Voted up.

Eddy.

breakfastpop,

Oh, how funny! Are they still hairdressers even to this day?! My Barbie's are packed away. I should really dig them out sometime.

Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing a piece of family history.

Eiddwen,

Wow you guys have invented little girls who changed the Barbie look! Love that energy! My dolls are simply roughed up. One doll has pink hair I believe from a misguided shampoo of sorts. Oh, the fun of being young!
