Buy Corgi Comic Classics Diecast Vehicles

In the early 90' Corgi released a Limited Edition range of diecast model vehicles that tied in with Classic Comics from the past. Comics were predominantly boys comics such as Tiger, Lion or The Wizard and these models had an old van with advertising from the Comics emblazoned on the side. These models were a fantastic combination of a Limited Edition collectable Corgi van as well as the nostalgic livery of boys comics from the past.

These Lovely collectors items are beautifully packaged and make great displays. Many of these vehicles are available from Amazon and can be purchased immediatly. Ebay is also a good source for Corgi Models both new and used and they can be at extremely reasonable prices, Ebay also gives you a huge variety to choose from as well as allowing you to still find items that are no longer available.

Tiger Roy of the Rovers Morris 1000 No. 96846

This Tiger Roy of the Rovers Morris 1000 is an authentic detailed replica of a classic Morris 1000 panel van made in 1992. The diecast model is a beautifully finished 1.36 scale model and comes complete with full body decoration showing Roy of the Rovers in action along with a large copy of the Tiger comic masthead. There were only 6000 of these Limited Edition models made and each come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Roy of the Rovers was long lasting comic strip detailing the adventures of Roy Race and his Melchester Rovers team as they won League titles, FA Cups and even European Cups. Over the years this comic strip featured in a number of comics with The Tiger being probably the most famous and most loved.

Adventure Bedford CA Van No. 98754

This Adventure Bedford CA Van is an authentic detailed replica of a classic Bedford CA Van made in 1992. The diecast model is a beautifully finished 1.36 scale model and comes complete with full body decoration from the Adventure Comic and has a advertising hoarding of the comic masthead on its roof. There were only 7500 of these Limited Edition models made and each come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Adventure was a 1950's comic with detailed prose stories but also good quality cartoon stories on the front and back covers. It later merged with The Rover in 1961 becoming "Rover and Adventure" before a later fusion with "Wizard".

The Wizard Morris J Van No. 98758

This Wizard Morris J Van is an authentic detailed replica of a classic Morris 'J' Van made in 1992. The diecast model is a beautifully finished 1.36 scale model and comes complete with full body decoration from The Wizard Comic with The Wolf of Kabul on the side along with an image of the comic masthead. There were only 7500 of these Limited Edition models made and each come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The Wizard was filled mainly with boys stories along with a few one line comic strip jokes and "Spadger's Spot for Puzzles" which started in 1922. The Wolf of Kabul first appeared in 1961 and ran until 1983 detailing the adventures of Second Lieutenant Bill Sampson who was an agent of the British Intelligence Corps on the Northwest Frontier he was disguised as a native but was given away by his blue eyes. He was armed only with two knives although his Oriental sidekick, Chung, made devastating use of a cricket bat.

Lion Volkswagen Combi No. 96961

This Lion Volkswagen Combi Van is an authentic detailed replica of a classic VW Combi made in 1999. The diecast model is a beautifully finished 1.43 scale model and comes complete with full body decoration from The Lion comic with Captain Condor on the side along with an image of the comic masthead. There were only 7500 of these Limited Edition models made and each come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The Lion started in 1952 and lasted up to 1974 goign through many mergers with other comics such as "Lion and Sun', 'Lion and Champion', 'Lion and Eagle' and finally 'Lion and Thunder'. Captain Condor was the daring Commander of a space patrol very much in the mould of Dan Dare and was the flagship comic strip of Lion.

The Skipper Volkswagen Combi No. 98757

This The Skipper Volkswagen Combi Van is an authentic detailed replica of a classic VW Combi made in 1999. The diecast model is a beautifully finished 1.43 scale model and comes complete with full body decoration from The Skipper comic on the side along with an image of the comic masthead. There were only 7500 of these Limited Edition models made and each come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The Skipper was a pre-war British comic that ran from 1930 to 1941 when it became prey to the war paper shortage. The comic was very much in the Wizard or Hotspur mould.

The Hotspur Ford Popular Van No. 98755

This Hotspur Ford Popular Van is an authentic detailed replica of a classic Ford Popular Van made in 1991. The diecast model is a beautifully finished 1.43 scale model and comes complete with full body decoration from The Hotspur comic on the side along with an image of the comic masthead. There were only 7500 of these Limited Edition models made and each come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The Hotspur started in 1933 and is considered one of the 'big five' boys adventure comics and didnt finish being published until 1981. The Hotspur specialised in school stories such as its popular Red Circle School stories about a public school with pupils from all over the world.

Eagle Bedford CA Van and VW Van No. 98965

This Eagle Bedford CA Van and VW Van set is a double set of two vans representing the Eagle comic, they contain an authentic detailed replica of a classic Bedford CA Van and a VW Combi Van made in 1992. The Eagle started in 1950 and is considered one of the seminal British boys adventure comics and didnt finish being published until 1994. Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future was one of the most famous of the cartoon characters in The Eagle.
