Buy Corgi Comic Classics Diecast Vehicles Part 2

Corgi released a Limited edition range of diecast model vehicles tied in with Classic Comics from Days Gone By. This range was called the Corgi Comic Classics. A majority of the comics chosen to be represented were post-war boys adventure comics such as Tiger, Lion or The Wizard and if you are interested in these models then please see my Buy Corgi Comic Classics Diecast Vehicles hub.

However they also did a whole load of vehicles that featured comics popular with a younger audience and including some of the all time classic British comics such The Beano, The Beezer and The Dandy. All the sets came complete in a beautifully detailed box with an old van of varying makes with advertising from the Comics emblazoned on the side. These models are a great combination of a Limited Edition collectable Corgi van as well as the nostalgic livery of classic comics from the past.

These Lovely collectors items are beautifully packaged and make great displays. Many of these vehicles are available from Amazon and can be purchased immediatly. Ebay is also a good source for Corgi Models both new and used and they can be at extremely reasonable prices, Ebay also gives you a huge variety to choose from as well as allowing you to still find items that are no longer available.

The Beezer Ford Popular Van No. 96865

This Beezer Ford Popular Van is an authentic detailed replica of a classic Ford Popular Van made in 1992. The diecast model is a beautifully finished 1.43 scale model and comes complete with full body decoration showing Colonel Blink. There were only 6000 of these Limited Edition models made and each come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Colonel Blink, The Short-Sighted Gink, first appeared in November 1958 and the story revolved around a combination of Blink's bluff, no-nonsense blimpish ways and his disastrous short-sightedness, very much in the manner of Captain Mainwaring from Dad's Army. The stories rely on the complete lack of malice in Colonel Blink and his crazy adventures are normally an escalating sequence of disasters based on innocent and often very well-meaning intent.

This model is now quite rare since it has been discontinued but is occasionally available on Ebay. On the right are some of the items for sale on Ebay ranging from mint to used copies of this model.

The Rover Morris 1000 Van No. 98756

The diecast model is a beautifully finished 1.43 scale model and comes complete with full body decoration showing Alf Tupper, The Tough of the Track, running. There were only 7500 of these Limited Edition models made and each come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Alf Tupper, The Tough of the Track, was a working class, 'tough as nails' runner, whose adventures appeared in The Rover and The Victor for more than 40 years. Alf was nearly always the underdog and was looked down upon by the other competitors. He normally seemed to perform best after a hard night-shift or after getting very little sleep which was usually not his fault.
