The Corgi Muppet Show Toy range was a limited collectable range produced by Corgi in 1979 just at the height of the TV shows popularity. Corgi reissued the series using slightly different molds in 2002. The series included four characters from the TV show Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Animal and is a beautiful Limited Edition set to collect.

This hub also focuses on some of the other Muppet Show collectibles produced by Corgi and its subsidiaries such as the Master Replica puppets of Kermit, Animal and Gonzo.

These vintage items have now become very collectible. Ebay is a good source for Corgi Muppet Show Cars both new and used and they can be at extremely reasonable prices, Ebay also gives you a huge variety to choose from as well as allowing you to still find items that are no longer available.

Corgi Muppet Show Kermit No, 2030

The Corgi Muppet Show Kermit Car was released in 1979 and showed Kermit the Frog driving his yellow sports car.

From the swamps to Sesame Street and onto the Silver Screen - this frog has definitely got legs! Discovered by a wayward talent agent years ago, even today Kermit provides smiles for children and adults alike.

The Corgi Muppet Show Fozzie Bear Car was released in 1979 and showed Fozzie Bear driving the Muppet Show truck.

The Original Series car released in 1979 was coloured Red but the 25th Anniversary reissue from 2002 was re-painted blue.

The original car is fairly rare but not as rare as others in this range and does occasionally turn up on Ebay however the re-released version from 2002 is more common. The Corgi Muppet Show Miss Piggy Car was released in 1979 and showed Miss Piggy driving her pink piggy convertible.

Corgi Muppet Show Animal No. 2033

The Corgi Muppet Show Animal Car was released in 1979 and showed Animal driving a tractor with his drum kit in.

The original car is fairly rare but not as rare as others in this range and does occasionally turn up on Ebay however the re-released version from 2002 is more common. Muppets on Wheels was a 2000 fast-food promotion run by Little Chef restaurants in the United Kingdom. Eight small die-cast cars with Muppet characters were created for the promotion.

In 2007, Master Replicas, a subsidiary of Corgi International produced an Animal Photo Puppet replica, using the patterns and materials that the Muppet Workshop used to produce the official photo puppets.

The replica is fully poseable with mouth expression, and moveable eyelids and full articulation at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and fingers.

Production of the replica was a limited edition of 1,500.

The Animal photo puppet replica measures approximately 38” x 5” x 8.5”.
