Buy Mega Bloks Pyrates

Mega Bloks Pyrates was a building block set range produced by Mega Bloks in 2005. This was the first Mega Bloks series that used Mini figures with ball jointed articulation at the hips, shoulders, and neck, in addition to hinged knees, elbows and rotating wrists. This made them the most articulated figures in that scale.

The range was, as the name suggests, all Pirate themed and this hub covers the larger of the sets released in 2005. If you are interested in the smaller sets may I suggest you look at my other Buy Mega Bloks Pyrates Part 2 hub. The story behind the series is that Lord Pyrate, on his deathbed, decreed that his wealth be dispersed all over the world, so none of his successors would ever be as rich and powerful as he was. After the disappearance of the ships charged with hiding the treasure, several factions rose to try to gain control of it, The Sea Maruaders, The Privateers, The Skeleton Crew, The Bucaneers and The Lost Souls.

Mega Bloks is a Canadian Toy company that produces building blocks that are exactly similar to Lego they hold many licensing agreements to produce related items plus other sets. These sets are similar in design and size to Lego sets and make a good alternative to Lego sets for Christmas and Birthday presents particularly since many of the franchise lines are exclusive to Mega Bloks.

Ebay is a great source for new and used Lego sets plus all these discontinued sets and they can be at extremely reasonable prices, Ebay also gives you a huge variety to choose from as well as allowing you to still find items that are no longer available

A lot more information about all the Mega Blok Kits can be found on the excellent Mega Blok Wiki called Blok City.
