Playmates Toys is a toy manufacturer that has produced a number of lines of Simpsons action figures, vehicles and accessories from 2001 to the present day. These action figures are articulated so that you can move them and also come with something called Intelli-Tronic Voice Activation, whereby many phrases, voiced by the actual Simpsons actors, can be actioned when the figure is placed into one of the environments that are also sold separately such as Moe's Tavern, or the Kwik E Mart.

The First Church of Springfield Environment was one of the Playmates Environments in the Simpsons series that could be used with action figures from all the series. Each figure when placed on a pin in the environment would say a certain individual phrase.

The First Church of Springfield Environment set came with an exclusive Reverend Lovejoy figure and features a Church with pews, steps, stage and pulpit, a "Peace" tapestry with dove sign, plants flanking the pulpit and stained glass windows.
