What is Hardcore Domination
Hardcore domination is a game mode in the Hardcore set list. Hardcore refers to the playlist style which uses no HUD meaning that no indicator in the top left of the screen to show the map. There is also no health regeneration which means that if you get hurt that will stay with you until you die unlike core where you can regenerate health over the course of a few seconds. Also your health is also minimal so it only take 1 or 2 bullets in order to die. Another feature to hardcore is that there is nothing on screen to assist you. You will not see how many bullets you have, how many points you need to unlock your next scorestreak, what perks you are using, what score streaks you are using, and no cross hairs on the screen. This game mode is tough for many new players, but for those of us hardcore players, we want nothing other than this.
Tips for Playing Hardcore Domination
FIRST - Choosing the right play style. My personal favorite play style is camping B. Now when I say camping B i don't mean off to the side, or around B, I lay right on top of B and let the enemy come right to me. This usually gets me 5-8k score per game. Not to mention I get a fair amount of kills from enemy players that are chasing down the objective.
SECOND - Another strategy that can work IF you have a full team and know you will win is continuing to go after enemy objectives. While capturing an objective and getting a kill you will receive 150 points per kill plus 200 if you capture the objective. This is a safe way to get your score streaks considering when you step on an objective typically the enemy comes after you. If you can a couple kills and make the capture chances are you will have most of your score streaks fairly quickly.
THIRD - Guns to use. I prefer assault rifles because they are very effective in hardcore, and you can attach a grenade launcher if you get in "one of those" rooms that need it. What I mean is that from time to time you get thrown into a room where the enemy is abusing the grenade launcher with damage increase and can kill you right through your flak jacket. Therefore having a tube class handy is necessary at some point.
FOURTH - Perks to use. The most important perk in hardcore that should be on EVERY class is either Flak Jacket, OR using a trophy system. This will allow you to survive from the enemy that may be throwing grenades OR tubes on the B location or just in general locations around the map. Another perk I suggest using is low profile. Low profile will help you stay hidden on the mini map when the enemy calls in a UAV which tends to happen a lot in hardcore domination.
FIFTH - Kill streaks to use. First off is the UAV. This is very beneficial not only to yourself but your team. Calling this in will give you an idea exactly where the enemy is on the map for 30 seconds. I also suggest adding extra time to this as well. You will without a doubt notice you having more success if a UAV is called in at all times. The next important score streak is the Care Package. There are many maps that have specialty items that can only be gotten through a care package like the walker tanks on the map Comeback which is why I strongly suggest using this score streak. Not to mention that you can also receive high level score streaks with perks on them for minimal points. I suggest adding the re-roll to the care package. And lastly the third one can be up to you. I personally suggest Paladin with extra time as in domination that is not a difficult score streak to get, but overall it is your choice.
SIXTH - Do not get kicked. One of the easiest things to do in hardcore game modes in getting kicked for accidentally shooting teammates 3 times. I have had this happen plenty time when in a Paladin, using walker tanks, players running into my grenades, or just quick reaction to someone walking in a door. The trick is not getting 3 otherwise you will get kicked from the game, get a loss on your record, and forfeit any match bonus xp.
