Sorcery Power

Sorcery in DC Universe Online is good for those people that like to wield life and death in their hands. A great combat support role, Sorcery can often tip the balance of a fight with their spells. Arcane powers fall into two categories: Summoning & Destiny.

Healing - As a Sorcery Healer, all damage you cause is penalised by 35%. However, all Health restoration and damage prevention effects you trigger are increased by 100%.

PVP - Similar to Nature Power, you have a special advantage against Ice and Fire power users. Your super powers will help negate their difficult to penetrate defences, leaving them weakened and vulnerable to attacks from you and your team mates. Attacking them may also inspire Confidence within you, increasing your damage by 70% for a brief period.

Summoning

Drawn to your power, arcane creatures never leave your side. Choose wisely which pet you summon, for each will behave according to the mystic forces that created it. Whether attacking, defending, or performing some other fantastic feat, they are completely at your service.

If you specialize in Summoning, you will be granted +1% critical attack damage and +2% critical healing chance.

Tier 1

Summon Guardian
Summons a defensive Guardian; hold the Summon Guardian button for three seconds to banish it
[Power Interactions] Grants Red Soul Aura by accessing the souls of defeated enemies

Tier 2

Boon of Souls
[Usable While Controlled]
Summons a barrier to prevent damage to you and your group members
[Power Interactions] When the Red Soul Aura is active, enemies will take damage when they strike your shield
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Summon Guardian

Conjure Soul Well
Conjure a Soul Well to damage nearby enemies; heals nearby allies or improves their offence depending on your role
[Power Interactions] Grants Red Soul Aura by accessing the souls of enemies defeated by the Soul Well
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Summon Guardian

Wrath
Blasts an enemy with magical energy
[Power Interactions] Polymorphs enemies into helpless animals by consuming Red Soul Aura when Red Soul Aura is active
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Summon Guardian

Tier 3

Summon Watcher
Summons a healing Watcher; hold the Summon Watcher button for three seconds to banish it
[Power Interactions] Grants Red Soul Aura by accessing the souls of defeated enemies
[Healer Role] Imbued with additional Healing ability
Prerequisite: Boon of Souls

Transcendence
[100% Supercharge Cost]
[Vulnerable to Interrupt]
Channels a spell that protects you from damage and impulses, while recovering heavy health and power over time for yourself and your allies

Grand Summoning
[100% Supercharge Cost]
Summons a terrifying triumvirate of Grand Watcher, Fury, and Guardian to fight freely at your side and annihilate enemies

Summon Fury
Summons a destructive Fury; hold the Summon Fury button for three seconds to banish it
[Power Interactions] Grants Red Soul Aura by accessing the souls of defeated enemies
Prerequisite: Wrath

Tier 4

Transmutation
Explodes nearby objects with magical force to damage enemies and heal allies
[Power Interactions] Polymorphed and Encased Enemies take additional damage
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 45% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Conjure Soul Well

Tier 5

Sacrificial Offering
Heals allies, restores Power to summoned demons, and non-player allies over time - at the expense of your health
[Power Interaction] Does not drain health when Red Soul Aura is active
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 50% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Summon Watcher

Life Element
Summons a healing crystal that releases Health-restoring energy when smashed or thrown
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 50% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Transmutation

Soul Storm
Blasts a barrage of magical projectiles to knock down and damage enemies
[Power Interactions] Causes additional damage by consuming Red Soul Aura when Red Soul Aura is active
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 60% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Summon Fury


Destiny

The fate of many rests in your hands as you change the course of battle. Generate good or bad karma for you, your allies, or foes. Gathering these positive and negative energies allows you to elevate or enfeeble those around you.

If you follow this Sorcery Power skill tree, you will be granted +5% critical attack damage and +5% critical healing magnitude.

Tier 1

Condemn
A powerful curse that stuns and causes damage over time
[Power Interactions] Depending on your role, inflicts Bad Karma so that enemy attacks either heal their targets or damage their own allies
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)

Tier 2

Rejuvenate
Instantly restores Health to the most injured group mate or yourself
[Power Interactions] Grants Golden Soul Aura that increases healing critical chance by 10%
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Shared Fate

Shared Fate
Damages and pulls enemies toward you
[Power Interactions] Enemies afflicted with Bad Karma will infect other enemies; Grants Golden Soul Aura that increases healing critical chance by 10%
[Healer Role] Heals you and your allies
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Condemn

Vengeance
Channels a destructive beam at an enemy
[Power Interactions] Enemies with Bad Karma are polymorphed into a harmless animal
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 35% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Shared Fate

Tier 3

Polymorph
[25% Supercharge Cost]
For a short time, polymorphs an enemy into a harmless animal and bestows healing on all allies who strike it

Karmic Backlash
[Usable While Controlled]
Flings enemies away in a magical explosion
[Power Interactions] Depending on your role, inflicts Bad Karma so that enemy attacks either heal their targets or damage their own allies
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 40% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Shared Fate

Baleful Transmogrification
[100% Supercharge Cost]
Curses enemies with a transformation that only the strongest can endure

Tier 4

Invocation of Renewal
[Vulnerable to Interrupt]
Heals yourself and up to seven nearby allies
[Power Interactions] Grants a Golden Soul Aura that increases healing critical chance by 10%
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 60% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Rejuvenate

Weapon of Destiny
Magically imbues your weapon with additional damage
[Power Interactions] Depending on your role, inflicts Bad Karma so that enemy attacks either heal their targets or damage their own allies; Enemies with Bad Karma may be polymorphed into harmless animals
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 45% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Vengeance

Tier 5

Circle of Protection
[Vulnerable to Interrupt]
Depending on your role, casts a field to damage enemies or heal allies
[Power Interactions] Polymorphed and Bad Karma affected enemies are slowed and take damage over time
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 50% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Invocation of Renewal

Arbiter of Destiny
[Usable While Controlled]
[100% Supercharge Cost]
Transforms you into the ultimate agent of Destiny by imbuing all Destiny powers with inexhaustible power; weapons attacks are not usable in this form
Prerequisite: Karmic Backlash

Final Ruin
A shattering spell that smashes your opponents, pulling health from knocked-out enemies to heal your allies, while dealing additional damage to enemies at 35% health or below
[Damage Role] Increases all damage by 50% until the hit counter resets (at least five seconds)
Prerequisite: Weapon of Destiny
