What neutral creeps do you prefer to control with Holy Knight?
GUIDE:
Early Game:
Chen is one of the best junglers in DOTA. In fact, his effectiveness in every stage of the game entirely relies on how strong his controlled units are. Having excellent micro skill is a must for those who plan to use Holy Knight and be effective in a DOTA game. Despite the incredible support and attack potentials of this hero, he won’t be of so much use for the team if the user is inexperienced in controlling multiple units. Holy Knight can ambush enemy heroes in any lane early on. All he need is to gather strong neutral creeps so this should be your main objective. As much as possible, roam around the map and gather a few hero kills. Enemy heroes will start to hesitate in advancing given you are not visible on the Minimap.
Mid Game:
Holy Knight is one of the best gankers in DOTA. His first skill can greatly impair an enemy’s escaping capabilities. Controlling at least three Centaurs assures a kill. Time their stun to immobilize enemy heroes at most 6 seconds. This span of time is more than enough for your teammates to eliminate even the toughest heroes. Your first skill also weakens your enemies making the skill even more dangerous. Chen is also known because he can save allies from impending doom. Through his third skill, he can instantly send an ally to the healing fountain. With Holy Knight on your team, your initiators and tankers won’t fear so much about doing their jobs knowing Chen is watching and is always ready to get them out of the battlefield when needed. Your main objective on this part of the game is to continue ambushing enemy heroes. Target their carries to keep them from farming. As we all know, hero carries will end up useless in the late game if they won’t be able to purchase luxurious items.
Late Game:
Holy Knight’s ultimate skill can be a deciding factor in a team clash. It globally heals, so he can help even those allies that are in the far side of the map. With Mekansm and Pipe of Insight, Holy Knight can support the team and somehow assure victory during important late game clashes. All the buffs he can accumulate by controlling several neutral creeps make Chen one of the best supporting heroes in DOTA. He is not item dependent so don’t worry about farming. You must concentrate on finding strong neutral creeps and saving your allies. Nevertheless, don’t even think of using Chen if you have weak micro skills. Practice is definitely a must if you want to be a reliable Chen user.
