Dead Island: One of the best Zombie Games Today

Who would not want to fight with zombies someday? Just like most of you, I’m a great fan of zombie movies and games. There is definitely something about these mindless creatures which made them very fun to kill. It’s may be their gruesome faces or awkward walking style but one thing is for sure. You will end up deciding whether to terminate every zombie you encounter or be one of them. There is no better way to practice annihilating zombies than a game. This is probably one of the main reasons why zombie games are quite popular these past few years. Buying every zombie game in the market is a good idea but that would mean a lot of investment, not to mention the fact that there are tons of crappy ones out there as well. Here is one of the best zombie games I tried. I recently purchased it, and am still enjoying the game. Here is a quick review of Dead Island.

Graphics:

This is probably one of the best features of this zombie game. You will surely love its details. Unlike most zombie games where the enemies seem to be identical in so many ways, each zombie on this game is unique. The island itself is a thing of astonishing beauty as well. Try to explore the huge map and you’ll observe how the people behind this game worked so hard to make it pleasing to the eyes.

Story:

There are several characters to choose from and each one of them has their own background. One thing common is that they all end up visiting the same island. The whole adventure starts the day after you got so drunk in a party. You’ll eventually realize that something is wrong as the game progresses and that most of the people who came partying with you last night are now mindless monsters.

Gameplay:

Unlike most zombie games, Dead Island has tons of interesting features. First, both the player and zombies need to worry about stamina. I know you’ll be asking, “How come zombies need stamina?” Although this might dismay a lot of zombie fans out there but it made the game fair. Because a player needs to watch out of his stamina, he can’t just throw random attacks to beat the life out of every zombie. As if they have life to begin with. Keep in mind that when a player drains out all his stamina, he can’t attack further unless he rests for a bit. The same is true with zombies. There are specific weapons in the game which aims for zombie’s stamina and stun them in the process. This is a perfect way to deal with a group of zombies where all you need to do is stun a few and eliminate them one after another.

Interesting Facts:

  • Don’t expect to face hundreds of zombies at the same time as the developers focused on superior graphic quality on every element of the game.
  • The zombies here won’t infect you, which is of course good news!
  • You can pick up a lot of weapons in the way to either improve your current ones or add up to your arsenal.
  • This island is big. I mean very big so exploring it alone would require hours, not to mention the fact that you’ll need to deal with annoying zombies along the way.
