Updated on February 6, 2013

Intro

This guide is going to talk about FIFA 13's ultimate team, with new features, how to play, the card packs, the auction house, and what you should do to better yourself on the game. Also please feel free to comment below at the bottom, and I will comment back. Thanks

Before I get started first let me say I am on the Xbox live network if you need help under MKS JohnR, space between the two.

Also I am on Twitter where you can find out my latest guides as I release them for various games including but not limited to FIFA 13, NHL13, NBA 2k13, Madden 13, Black Ops 2, Halo 4, and many other games that I feel the need to help you guys out with.

You can find me on Twitter at - Twitter.com/johnrr631992 or @johnrr631992 .. Also I do take requests for any guides, or strategies, and will make a guide that can specifically help you, so feel free to comment below.

What is Ultimate Team.

So with FIFA 13, I have noticed that there are MANY types of game modes, and skill games to choose from. But this guide will talk about the Ultimate Team. Ultimate Team is one of the MOST popular game modes on FIFA 13, Madden 13, and the NHL game franchises. This game modes essentially wants you to build the best team possible from nothing. Your goal should be that you are trying to in turn have a 99 ranked team full of the best players in the game. This will allow you to have the ultimate team in the game. This is a little different then traditional play because you are building a team with players you want from various teams, and build your team to your liking. This will allow you to change the rosters, players, and make the team to the best of your ability.

With that being said, the way you obtain players is of 3 ways. 1 is you can buy packs. While this is the most popular method after you begin building a half decent team, sometimes it is better if you buy the players, instead of trying to get specific positions filled by buying card packs.

The next method is the auction house. This method will allow you to buy specific players, OR a specific position. i will not go in depth to much about this because I am going to dedicate an entire guide to using the auction house.

The third method is trading. This method will allow you to take one of your players and trade it with another player for another card. This method has not been popular in the past, BUT I have seen a lot more trading in Madden 13, so who knows, this may become fairly popular in this game.

When you are playing ultimate team, you will compete in a single player season, an online season, online tournament to play games, earn experience, coins, to buy better players. This is crucial to be able to make money to continue buying new cards..

New FEATURES

Team of the Week challenge. The team of the week is the first new feature, which is a game that you can play against a team, that based on real life has increased stats. Each week, FIFA 13 will choose a team, give them increased stats, and make them a challenge in order to award the player some bonus coins, and to complete that challenge. This is a great way to earn a good amount of coins, just keep in mind that they will slightly more difficult than that same team in season play or tournament play.

Something else that is new is the full addition of career mode added into the ultimate team. This will allow many more games to be played, and players to better them self by getting more coins, and also giving an option to playing against other players.

Card Packs

In Fifa 13 one of the best way that you will build your team is through the use of buying card packs.. So let me go over what these packs are, and the difference between them.

Bronze packs - For bronze packs this is obviously where you are going to go in the beginning. You will buy these packs to better yourself, build better chemistry, and to get those specialty cards. You will get 12 cards with a basic bronze pack.

Premium bronze- In this pack you will get a higher quality of bronze players for an extra 350 coins.. In that pack you will get 12 cards, with 3 of them being rare, as opposed to the basic bronze where only 1 card was a rare card.

Silver pack.- For 2,500 coins you can buy a silver pack. This is a good way to maintain or start building a better squad. With this pack you will get 12 cards 1 of them being rare.

Premium Silver Pack.- for 3,750 you can buy this pack. You will get 12 cards, with 3 of them being rare. To be honest IF you are going to buy a silver pack then I suggest going after this one mainly for the 3 rares instead of 1. I know it is more coins, but personally I think that this would be a much better deal overall.

GOLD pack. - This is the BEST place for you to go. i think this is the necessary step to go if you are trying to actually build a legitimate team. If you are going to be going for number 1 then this is where you start. For 5,000 coins, or 100 FIFA points, you can buy the gold pack. This will come with 12 cards, 1 of them being rare.

Premium Gold Pack.- This is obviously where I am going to suggest that you spend your money, BUT if you cannot afford this pack and don't want to save up I would go for the basic gold pack. BUT for 7,500 coins or 150 FIFA points you can buy this pack which includes 12 cards plus 3 rares. When you buy this, you are taking a step further to produce that number 1 team, and to move yourself further into the game towards number 1.

As said above I prefer you go after the gold packs as your goal in ultimate team is to get the best team possible, and that will not happen buying silver, and bronze packs. While you will probably have to buy some bronze, and silver packs in the beginning I suggest that eventually you strive each time for a premium gold pack. This will give you 3 rares, and a much better chance of Making money back on the auction house, and overall have the number 1 spot.

Making Coins.

So obviously to build your ultimate team you are going to need coins, and lots of them in order to build a team to get into that number 1 spot. With that being said, there are a few ways for you to make those precious coins. While unlike Madden 13, there are a MUCH LARGER group of players, AND the prices run a little differently. So with that being said here are some methods.

First off is auctions. While I will write a specific guide for dealing with the auction house, you should note that this is a great place to make money. You can sell any card you receive on the auction house, and depending on the role, player, and level they will sell for different amounts of coins. In that, when you are looking to make coins, selling unused players is a crucial way for you to get added coins into your bank. The coins do add up, and you will be able to make a decent amount of money ONCE you start really buying packs of cards, and getting into the game.

The next method is playing games. Obviously this is the best way, to play the season, and online season in order to get a certain amount of coins each game. There are a lot of factors that play into the coins you get, but this is the number 1 method to get coins besides the auction house.

The tasks. Right now there is only one set of managers tasks out there, but I assume other will be added. This is a cool feature where after you complete 12 basic tasks you will get a free gold pack. That will be a free 5000 coin value.. With that you will be able to either auction the cards, or trade them, or add them to your team. Either way the tasks are a great way to make money as this will give you special requirements to better your skill, and will overall give you a completion bonus LIKE getting that gold pack.

Team of the week. This is also a great way for you to earn coins. These games that come each week will be a little tougher, BUT overall will give you a good bonus if you can pull out a win, and will help you have that edge by giving you that section of bonus coins.

Tournaments. Tournaments are a GREAT way for you to earn coins. There are two options, Online and solo tournaments. the solo tournaments are good for coins, and to build your skills. The online tournaments will give more coins, and a pack of cards, but are a little tougher. Either way this is a great way for you to earn coins on FIFA 13.

So for now those are the best ways for you to gain coins on FIFA 13.. There will be more added eventually along with guides for auction house, and a trading guide tips..

Summary

So overall, FIFA 13's Ultimate Team is a LOT of fun. I am still in the process of building my team, so once again feel free to ask questions below, and I can let you know what stage I am at, what I am fixing, or doing within the FUT.

ALSO I will have A LOT of FIFA guides coming out hopefully sooner than later, before the game officially gets released, so that will greatly help you. The BEST way for you to know when the guides are coming out is to check out or follow my Twitter.com/Johnrr631992.. or @johnrr631992 . That is the best way, but you can also check back, and scroll to the top, click my profile, and all my guides are there.
