How to Prevent and Get Out of a Spawn Trap on Call of Duty Black Ops 2

Updated on December 11, 2012

Intro

Okay guys, this is going to be a very short guide today that I will talk about how you should be going about setting up a class to get out of a spawn trap when the enemy sticks you in one. On top of that, I will talk about preventing spawn traps from happening. I am throwing this up, to help those who play by themselves, and get very annoyed when stuck in a bad spawn trap.

Before I get started, let me say that I am available on Twitter, and Xbox to answer questions.. On Twitter you can ask @Johnrr631992 , or Twitter.com/Johnrr631992... Also you can add me on xbox @ MKS JohnR..

Also please feel free to ask questions below in the comments section..

Also me and my co-leader have started a clan on Xbox in which we are recruiting. if you would like to apply of check it out, head to massivekillingsquad.com

What is Spawn Trapping.

Spawn trapping refers to the method in which a team or players will make it impossible for you to spawn. In Black Ops 2 they will do this using guardians, and by using sentry guns that will usually prevent you from spawning.. With that being said let me get started on how to prevent that spawn trap..

EMP Grenades..

Okay so my FIRST tip.. EMP Grenades.. This is a crucial part of getting out of a spawn trap.. If you are spawning into a trap.. AS SOON AS YOU SPAWN hold the grenade button to prep the grenade.. EVEN if you do die, usually your character will take out the piece of equipment with the EMP grenade, and will destroy that, also this will hit the players, and temporarily prevent them from adding any score streaks, or using certain devices and scopes while effected by emp.. This grenade is a great way and tool for you to get out of any spawn.

Getting on the other spawn

If you can manage to survive long enough, try to get out of your spawn.. Now obviously this sounds like a no brainer, BUT for instance.. on Hijacked.. Usually people sit upstairs, and at most 1 person may be in the underground tunnel that leads to the other side of the map.. If you get rid of that person, camp on the other side until your team gets over there, or go upstairs and try to take out some of the enemy camping on your spawn outside. This can be a little tricky, but will always get your team out of a spawn trap, and help you guys win.

Back Out

If you are playing by yourself, and find yourself in a spawn trap, then why keep playing.. Now if you can get into their spawn you can usually get some free kills, help your team, and get them out of a trap, but if not.. simply back out.. That is the easiest method for you to get out of a trap that will frustrate you.. A LOT of teams are trying traps on Black Ops 2 until they patch the spawns, and until this happens, you may want to just back out of those games.

Summary

So as frustrating as a spawn trap may be.. Using EMP grenades will help you get out of them with no problem.. Just remember to throw them as soon as you spawn. This will allow you to get them off, and take out those pesky tools used to trap you in any spawn.
