I Used To Collect Wade

I used to collect wade

For years I have collected 'Wade Whimsies' and other wade items.

For anyone who doesn't know ,'Wade' is a very collectible pottery, probably one of the most collectible in Britain.

Like many collectors I decided to sell them on, as I needed space.

So ! I put my items on ebay. A sales auction site online ,I know most people are very familiar with it, but for the ones who aren't, I have put this information on..I had previously been very successful on that site.

My item sold straight away and I got paid instantly so what was the problem ?

Silly me! In my haste, and space of time since I last was on ebay, I had simply not noticed that the ' worldwide 'shipping to ' sign had NOT been corrected to 'U.K only' for the price I had requested for the shipping.

So In order to keep my good name on ebay, I managed to sell an item worth at least £20.00 for, after the high postage to AUSTRALIA, for 20 pence !

Now take care any sellers ! I have now learned my lesson which is to take time and not rush things as I used to do.

Multiple Bids

Another point to watch is if a buyer makes multiple bids on your items. If so then you can offer combined postage and you will be quite popular if you do that.

These Days

These days I double check everything before I finalise my 'item for sale 'on ebay.

Actually it is so easy and there is lots of help on the site ,if one is new ,and just getting started.

Anyone who is thinking about trading on ebay , just go ahead and try it ,you will be surprised how simple it is,good luck.

I have to say I have had absolutely no success on eBay. Tried to do a few things about two years ago but got so frustrated I just gave up! Glad to hear that you have had success.

Love and peace

It's been years since I sold items on eBay. You're right about checking all the terms concerning postage. I lost all the profit on a few items when I underestimated the shipping costs at the time I listed them, before I had a postage scale. Learned a valuable lesson there.

Hello Peg, I must get back into it ,I have slipped into lazyness lately.

It is easy to get side tracked.
