Musical Toys for Young Children

Music can be introduced to young children from an early age. The first musical toy for a baby could be a mobile that hangs above their crib or a play mat that has interactive activities, sounds and lights. Research has shown that music helps the developing brain to grow and develop pathways that help the child perform complex tasks so, by introducing music as early as possible, you are not only fostering a feeling for the music but helping their development.

However not all musical toys are ideal for your child. We firmly believe that good quality toys, made to be durable and last are much better than cheap toys that will not only break easily but will produce ugly, tinny sounds. Buying a better quality toy, although initially more expensive, will pay for itself in the long run as it will last longer, will be passed down between siblings and, above all, will give a higher quality of sound.

In this hub we'll look at a selection of quality musical toys that have been tried and tested by parents and children and are fun to play with. One of the best ways to find out if a toy is good quality and well liked by children is to look at online reviews written by parents who have actually purchased the toy.
