Once again, you will find yourself on a world where you must rely on spinning blocks in the blue sky. The First Star Coin is located near a red pipe where a Chomper Plant hangs down from. It will be quite visible, but the only way to get it without a Propeller hat is to run up the blue block while it is slanted, and then wall jump off of the pipe.
The Second Star Coin will not be on the beaten trail, so to speak. After the Midway flag, there is a chomper plant. You will need to take out the Chomper plant to get to the low yellow pipe. You will be in an area that requires you to jump on some more cubes, and you can get a lot of coins here. At then end of this area are two green rising and falling things that must be jumped on to get this star coin. Time your jump well.
Eventually, you will come to an area where there is a long blue block with a yellow block to its left. You can wait until the blue block comes to the highest point, and then you can jump to the Third Star Coin. Probably the easiest way, really.
Okay, this is where you will face the Chain Chomp. They are difficult to get around, but just remember that they only charge after a certain amount of time. You can also set them free by ground pounding their stakes three times. You had better make certain that they are facing away from you when you set them free.
This is how you get the First Star Coin. You will notice it behind a wall, and the only way to get it is to stomp on the Chain Chomp’s stake until he is free. Now, you will want to make certain that he is very much facing the coin when he is set free, for that is the only way he will burst through the wall, clearing a way to the coin!
Once you get to the Midway Point, you will see some floating water bubbles with some bullet bricks. Eventually, you will see a green pipe by some blocks. Take the green pipe to another level with some swimming bubbles. This path will lead to the Second Star Coin. Go ahead and get it, and if you go to the area before the pipe leading back, there is an invisible 1UP there.
As you come out of the green pipe from where you got the second star coin, you will need to go back to the left for a little bit to get the Third Star Coin. It is in a small pit in between two Chain Chomps.
I found that this level was quite simple with a Propeller hat, and if you are fortunate, you will get one along the way. Those Black Hairys, a name that I will call these creatures until I get a better one, will constantly get in the way.
The First Star Coin is sort of easy to get. You just watch the Black Hairys go by, and then just snag the coin as they go along. It is quite simple.
In fact, as you go by the Midway point, there is a ? box to get a propeller hat, provided you are big Mario. There are a lot of coins to be had here, and those Black Hairy guys get really nasty.
Eventually, you will come to a place where it is like a train station full of Black Hairys and all types of blocks. On the highest point, all the way to the left is a blue platform with white spots. Get in the dead center of it, and jump. A beanstalk will sprout up, and you should climb it. You will then be in an area where you can get a P switch and grab all the blue coins that you can, and get the Second Star Coin along the way.
As for the Third Star Coin, it is a somewhat tricky leap. You have to ride the yellow moving platform, and avoid the Black Hairys along the way. Difficult, but not impossible.
Okay, this is all about surviving a crane ride up and up until you get to the top. You will see the First Star Coin here, and you will need to bounce atop a lot of big bullets and go very right to get it. You will be tempted to take the green pipe to left this area and move on, but do not give in.
In this same area, right at the top, you will need to go all the way to the left. Just make a jump where the crane cable ends on the left (to the left of a big silver box thing). You will see an invisible brick appear. Jump on the brick, and head up to the top of this area, and you will leave this area. You will find yourself in an enclosed area on the next screen by the Midway flag, and the Second Star Coin will be yours.
Okay, right as you get to the top, you will notice the Third Star Coin located just beyond a brick wall. The only thing to do is to get a Bomb and place it by the brick wall. You can then have access to the coin. Now, there are two ways to leave this area. The first is to simply rise up to the top and take on the Koopa. I’ll get to that later. The other way is located on a shelf thing located below two canons. It is on the right side, and if you go all the way to the right. You will find yourself near a Bullet Bill area, and the more bullet bills that you can get, the more 1Ups you can nab.
Now, you will have to face off against Ludwig von Koopa. His fireballs are tricky, because they come after you. He can also hover. The only time to get him is when he lands, unless you have a Propeller Hat you can use. Anyway, three times is always the way it is, isn’t it?
World 7- Ghost House
This house is filled with ghosts, but some of them, can actually be taken care of. All it takes is three strikes on the head of the boxing ones. Just jump on them, hold your position, and the ghost will be out!!
You will note that the First Star Coin is located directly as you come in. You might as well use the ghost who is swinging around with his gloves to take out the bricks blocking you from getting the Coin.
Okay, depending on where you want to go, there are a few ways from leaving the Boo House.
Keep going up until you come to another area with a boxing ghost. You wll notice a large space underneath it, and this actually has some white bricks there. You won’t see it, but you can get the ghost to box the bricks, and lead you in a secret area. Keep going up until you get to this area with some wooden planks. You can go in this planky area and hit some blocks underneath to get some beanstalks. Start climbing the beanstalks. You will then need to hit a switch that will cause some platforms to appear. Use them to get to the top, and open the door at the top. Instead of heading to the flag, enter the door to the lower right, and then you will be at another area of the house entirely.
Here you will find the Second Star Coin (or Third, depending how you do this level). You can hit the P-Switch to get it. Take the doorway out and you will be at a flag that will give you a short cut to World 7-5.
Of course, if you just want to go the regular way, just head up to the door from where you started from.
When you get all the way to the top, there is a doorway that leads to an area that starts with a bonus. If you are lucky, you can get the Invulnerability Star. You will then fall a long way, and make sure to follow the arrows of coins so you miss the ghosts. In the area where you land, take the upper right door.
You will then see a big Boo in the middle of the room. You can lure it away from the top, where it will reveal the Third Star Coin (or Second, depending on how you did this level).
Go ahead and leave through the other door, and watch for those birds on the way to the flag.
Okay, this part of the game is all about using the trays to conveyor you to the right spots. At one point, you will come to a colorful series of pipes that will end with big bullets. This is the location of the First Star Coin. It will take a precisely timed jump to get atop the bullets and to get that Coin.
Take the Red pipe that leads down below. As you go on, you will notice that the first area has a place you can go to the right. If you go there, you can get a 1UP.
Keep going and you will see the Second Star Coin in the midst of some yellow moving platforms. If you leap at the right point, you should be able to snag it. The trick is to land on one of the others. I wish I could say that these stopped midway, but they don’t.
As for this last one, you will need to stop before the final red pipe leading to the flag or exit area. There is a green warp pipe to the right. It is a tricky jump that requires bouncing off of bullets. That, or freezing them in place with the Ice Flower and getting to the top yourself. You will then be in another area which has a stairstep wall of cannons, and you can get the Third Star Coin.
This world is all about clouds that can hurt you by blowing fog in your way. Spinning about clears the way, but only for a while.
Eventually, you will come to the First Star Coin. It is right in your way, underneath a yellow moving platform and easy to obtain.
Keep going until you get to the Midway flag. You will see the Second Star Coin underneath a platform, which is on some coins. The fog will obscure a P-switch which will turn those coins into sold bricks, and you should be able to run across them without any trouble.
Eventually, you will come to a point with three clouds all trying to startle you. There is a big piece of landmass here, and it actually can be entered in. Here you will find the Third Star Coin.
This world is all about hopping on the back of flying beetles. The small ones go up, and the big ones will take you down. Don’t ask me why it is like that. You would think the reverse would be true.
As you run out of land, make sure you clear the fog. You will find a Yoshi Egg, which is the next best thing to traveling by Propeller hat in this hostile world. Yoshi is able to make you hover, which is what you need in a world where jumping from one mid-air target to the other is crucial.
Now, you will find the First Star Coin on this level, down at the bottom of the screen. If you ride a big beetle as it goes down, it will get this coin for you.
You will barely see the Second Star Coin, but it is near an orange platform. You will probably need to get on a small beetle and use it to fly up to it. Hopefully, you will get to the platform.
There is a row of giant beetles near the end, and then followed by small beetles. You will need to use a big beetle, and then you should be able to see the Third Star Coin from there.
By the way, beating this level will give you a back door to the World-7 Castle. You will go straight to the boss!
As you go past the first area, you will encounter a lot of deadly drills. You will also find the First Star Coin in the midst of some blocks underneath it. Destroy the blocks and then wall jump to get there.
Past the Midway point will be a long spiky columns, and you will need to look closely to find a green warp pipe in the center of them. Jump to it, and you will be in a new area. You should be able to find the Second Star Coin along the wall.
The hard part is when you need to get past a series of long spike drill bits. Before you go, hit the ? block here and then go to the top with wall-jumps to obtain the Third Star Coin.
The key is to keep running and duck when you see the arrows. You should be able to get through this, and go through the door to defeat Ludwig Von Koopa.
This is a Boss Battle that requires stomping on the Koopa three times. Yeah, that is nothing new, this one involves elevators that have to be used in order to avoid his firepower. He does like to hover, which gives you a chance to get him into position so you can jump on him.
