Top Thundercats Toys For Christmas 2011

ThunderCats are on the move, ThunderCats are loose. Feel the magic, hear the roar, ThunderCats are loose. Thunder Thunder Thunder ThunderCats.

If you are now singing along, chances are you were born in the 80s and used to watch the ThunderCats cartoon. I loved ThunderCats as a child, and had many of the figures. Now ThunderCats is back on TV, and popular with our own children. This Christmas my Son has asked for the Lion-o figure among other characters. He excitedly tells me all about the programme as if it is a new thing. I don't think he understood how i could have watched the same cartoon when i was his age ha ha.

So after ages of rummaging through boxes in the loft, he was delighted when i presented him with my old Cheetara, WileyKit and Mumm-ra figures. Instead of the usual "That's so old fashioned Mum" it was more like "That's too cool for school Mum".

Now all the ThunderCat figures and play sets that people have been bidding ridiculous amounts for on EBay, are readily available in a toy shop near you!!

"You still have the theme tune in your head don't you"???

Now I'm going to be humming Thundercats in my sleep all night. Great hub, made me remember when my son and I watched the original series.

Blimey, I didn't realise Thundercats had made a comeback! I think with most things, you one you grew up with and attached yourself to will always be the best. So definitely the original version for me!

And yes, now I'm going to be singing the theme to myself.

Thank you Word Caddy. I only know as my Son watches it. Yes i agree the 80s is still the best as we watched that one growing up. P.s. Hope you managed to get the theme song out of your head :)

I caught myself humming the theme at work today. I think your hub is viral, and I've caught it! Lucky for me, I LIKE the Thundercats theme song. :^)

Nice :) This is somewhat related, since it has to do with toys. I recently looked at my megazord(power rangers) and it is as amazing as when I used to play with it. If I ever have children, I am sure I will run into situations similar to yours.

Thank you Polyglot. It is nice when our own children are interested in the same toys and programmes we were :)

Oh, wow, I didn't know they even had a "new" cartoon of the Thundercats! Is it better or worse?

Haha! Yes, I felt that way about the new transformer cartoons as opposed to the 80s transformers cartoon. I wonder if they're thinking of doing a Thundercats live action movie? That would be interesting!
