Orion: Dino Beatdown May Be The Greatest Concept In The History Of Forever
After spending millenia apart, dinosaurs and space marines collide in video games. Finally.
Orion: Dino Beatdown is a class-based sci-fi shooter that pits jetpack-wearing space soldiers against the fiercest creatures of the Cretaceous period. What makes this game better than standard multiplayer fare is that there are dinosaurs. Period. Everything is better with a T-Rex or Triceratops. It's just plain science.
If you're in the mood to scrape copious amounts of brain matter from your walls, just watch this trailer detailing the different aspects of the game. If I can somehow get the futuristic version of the Velociraptor kitchen scene from Jurassic Park, I will die one happy man.
The game looks a tad rough around the edges but look at those freaking dinosaurs!
Spiral Game Studios must have watched Inception and sent an agent into my sub conscious because this is something straight out of my dreams.
Even the art is amazing. Just look at that picture. I've never been brought to tears by a piece of art, but that glorious image shook me to my core. I want that thing framed an hung in my living room so that I can bask in it's awesome regularly.
After a minor delay, the single greatest idea in years will be available on Steam May 4. Nothing else matter. Pick it up.
