Toy Prisms - Lets Learn about Light!
Prisms are a great children toy that help open up minds to science and how light works. I remember when I was young I had a few different prisms. The simple toy teaches kids what light is made up of. It is the easiest way to introduce how light works. Seeing is proof to young ones so virtually bending sunlight to create colors not only gets a bunch of "whoa" and "awesome" and "pretty" it gives a bases for children to start understanding things they can't see. Such as air, germs, and other things they might not be able to see. By getting started early sciences are easier to comprehend and learn over time. Other toys like radiometers that are powered by the sun and gyroscopes make great gifts and discovery tools for kids.
There are many kinds of prisms you can get. Hanging prisms that stay in front of windows. Desktop prisms that sit on a table or windowsill. There are prisms that attach to the end of flashlights and prisms that sit upon your roof and shine the colors around your house during different times of the day.
How Prisms Work
Regardless of the prism wither it is a multi-prism with multiple cores (to produce more then one rainbow) or a prism in a shape like a bird to create a rainbow shape the prism will always work if light is passing though it, it never stalls-shutsdown-or gets corrupted (although it is wise to wash dust and other buildup off them.)
