Scribblenauts Unlimited walkthrough: Payper N. Penitentiary and Payper Plains

Payper N. Penitentiary

Home to the ribald and ruthless, Payper N. Penitentiary is more in need of aid than any other locale in Scribblenauts to date. Be prepared to spend a lot of time helping out these lost souls.

Task
Who gives the task?
Solution
Reward
These watch towers don't come with a bathroom!
Sniper in the watch tower
You can give him a 'bathroom'; you can give him a 'toilet'; you can even be cheap and give him a 'bottle'.
Starite Shard
Make me something to blend into the environment and make my escape!
Crusader at the entrance
The Crusader wants out. Make her 'invisible' and off she'll go.
Starite Shard
All super villains have an evil animal companion! I need one!
Villain on the bottom floor
Clearly this man wants a 'duck'. You can give him anything, though. (Just make sure what you give him doesn't run loose and kill everybody in the jail.)
Starite Shard
We need someone who would want to watch these televisions all day!
Boss on the bottom floor
A 'bored' or 'lazy' person will happily stare at TV screens all day.
Starite Shard
I want to talk to someone who will help me down the righteous path!
Dark Knight on the bottom floor
Go for the opposite and call in a 'paladin'. You can also add 'holy' to anybody to achieve the same end - I used a 'holy plumber' for the conversion.
Starite Shard
Conceal something in my cake to help my friend burrow through the prison walls!
Chef on the second floor
Maxwell's brother Bruiser is in the slammer. Help him get out by putting something in the cake. You can send in a 'bomb', 'tnt', 'dynamite', a 'drill', whatever will let Bruiser escape. note that if you put the wrong thing in the cake, Bruiser will fail to escape and you'll have to reset the level.
Starite Shard; unlocks Bruiser
Show me something form the yard I was stolen from!
Gnome on the third floor
Think gardening and this shouldn't be hard. Heck, you can say 'garden' to appease the Gnome.
Starite Shard
Living here hinders my creativity! Help me paint this egg!
Easter Bunny on the third floor
You can either give the Bunny art supplies of some kind or apply adjectives directly to the egg. 'Vibrant' works nicely.
Starite Shard
I want a fang from that werewolf!
Tooth Fairy on the fourth floor
Give the Tooth Fairy 'pliers' or some kind of dental equipment to wrest the fang free, or bring in a 'dentist' to get the job done.
Starite Shard
This prison food does not follow my strict fattening diet!
Santa on the fourth floor
Santa's skinny. Beef him up with some high-calorie food. A 'giant cake' will put some pounds on the less-than-jolly saint.
Starite Shard
Help bridge the gap between the princess and me!
Rogue on the roof
Piece of cake. Make a 'bridge'. Or make one of them 'fly'. There are many ways to cross the small gap.
Starite Shard
Cellmates!
Football Player on the second floor
Provide cellmates with similar interests to each person... but not identical to the person. Football Player with 'baseball player'; Halfling with 'rogue'; Saxophonist with 'musician'; Actress with 'producer' or 'director'; Scientist with 'biologist' or 'chemist'; and Cosplayer with 'gamer' or 'nerd'.
Starite
Prison Break!
Shovel on the third floor
You need to deal with obstacles one at a time. The Guard could use a 'bed'; the Ghost could stand to be 'alive'; the Prisoner might like 'steak'; the Con Man needs a 'police uniform'; and the Programmer wants a 'dog'.
Starite

The Gauntlet!

The final challenge in the prison is The Gauntlet!, a rather brutal (by Scribblenauts standards) series of connected trials found via the spiked ball on the fourth floor. You need to beat each trial to get your hardest-earned Starite yet. Here's how:

  • Put a 'weight' on the switch
  • Use a 'fire extinguisher' on the fires
  • Run straight through the next corridor, then backtrack to between the safety cones until the walls retract
  • Make Maxwell 'fast' to zip past the robot, or give him an explosive to blow up the robot's gun
  • Try grab the Starite; it will explode
  • Grab the key on the ground
  • Create a 'fan' and use L or R while holding it to switch its direction
  • Use the fan to blow the spiked ball out of your way and to the right
  • Make Maxwell 'tiny' to get through the electrified door
  • Float up under the watch tower and hit the button to release the exploding barrels safely
  • Make an 'air vent' under the tower and an object over it to depress the button
  • Weave between the lightning bolts
  • Time your descent past the spikes for when the wind machine is off
  • Enter the time machine to grab the Starite

Payper Plains

After the hollow halls of the penitentiary, the Payper Plains are a breeze. Enjoy an influx of cheery characters attending the fair and trying to make their way in the world as you breathe in the fresh air of the great outdoors.

Task
Who gives the task?
Solution
Reward
I'm missing my partner for the big race!
Sad Jockey by the entrance
The Jockey needs something to ride on. You COULD give him a 'horse' - or you could give him a 'friendly velociraptor'.
Starite Shard
I can't do an air show without something to fly!
Stunt, by the entrance
Stunt lacks aerial transportation. A 'plane' would work - but Stunt looks much funnier in a 'flying car'.
Starite Shard
I need something to hold to help my balance!
Tight Rope Walker on the balloons above the entrance
You can try any number of goofy things on this, but 'bar' or 'pole' gives the best results. (Even if the guy still runs across with the thing in one hand.)
Starite Shard
This stuff looks like it's fresh! I really wish that it was popped!
Rascal by the corn
What pops corn kernels? Heat. What generates heat? You guessed it - a 'volcano'.
Starite Shard
I'm doing a good job. Give me a tip!
Cow under the balloons
The cow will accept any amount of money for its services - and then, for some reason, eat the money. Huh.
Starite Shard
I'm ready to go skydiving, have Maxwell take me up into the air!
Skydiver by the snow
She wants to go high? Help her into the sky with a 'jetpack'.
Starite Shard
Make me look unique so I can draw in a crowd for my act!
Earthbound Mare atop the water tower
The Mare wants to be unique. Mess around with adjectives to make her wish come true. (Mine was a 'scaly dripping orange' Mare. Swanky, no?)
Starite Shard
Scribblenauts University!
Student under the balloons
The Student first needs to prove her chops. Give her an 'award'. Next she needs clean clothes via a 'laundromat'. She now needs work experience; a 'boss' (or some kind of 'store') will get her working. Last, help her study with a 'computer' or 'notes' or a 'textbook'.
Starite

Two more areas down and a bunch more Starites added to your collection. Next up on the agenda, you head to Bullet Point Bayou and The Listy Colon, which is less questionable than it sounds.
