Shuffleboard
What is Shuffleboard?
Shuffleboard is a game, commonly found in pubs, where the goal is to slide a weighted puck down a table to land within marked scoring areas. The objective of the game is for the winner to have their puck further down the table than their opponent's, or to knock the opponent's puck off of the table completely.
There are two different styles of shuffleboard. Table shuffleboard is played on tables that range in length from 12 to 22 feet, and the pucks are pushed down the table by hand. Deck shuffleboard is played on long decks that range in length from 27 to 39 feet, and the pucks are pushed down the lanes with cue sticks.
Shuffleboard rules differ depending on whether you are interested in table shuffleboard or deck shuffleboard. The key thing to remember is that the pucks are not to be bounced or thrown down the lanes - they have to be pushed so that they glide to their winning destination.
