Cloudy Court Galaxy

Silver Stars in the Purple Pond

You need to get as many coins as possible, but it will be like last time.  There are two on the clouds, and you can smack that bird for one more.  By the way, there is a 1UP underneath that dinosaur bush, just crouch down and get it.

Those floating platforms will have more coins on them, so go ahead and get them.  You definitely want to get that ? coin with them there, too.  On the drums, definitely get the ? coin there, and get all the coins.

Now, when you get to the next area, there is a Luma who will want 30 coins.  You should have enough, but if you want, go ahead and go up that one area with the wind and the cloud and get more, and then go back if need be.

The Star Launcher will take you to a place where you must go on a maze of clouds that hovers over purple goo.  You need to grab five silver stars.  Now, this would be easy, but every time you grab a silver star, a Cosmic Clone will come out and will chase after you.  Now, a cosmic clone is only programmed to go wherever you go, so the key is not to double back.  Try and pick up all of the silver stars in one long line.

My suggestion is grabbing the cloud mushroom on the way out, and then go to the left and jump until you get to the silver star closest to the front.  You can then jump using a long jump to the next star, and pick up a cloud mushroom along the way.  Eventually, you will follow the path as two Cosmic clones chase you to the place on the maze that is furthest away from the starting point.  You don't want to grab the third star and run back down the path of the maze.  Instead, jump to the right into the goo, and use a cloud to save yourself, and then jump back to the path.  The fourth and fifth stars can be obtained pretty easily along the way.

The cosmic clones will vanish, and the star will appear.  Just be careful getting back to it, as this would be an inopportune time to fall into the deathly goo when the star is within reach.

The Chimp's Skating Challenge

Okay, this is about going through the motions and getting to the second area.  Man, is this really the third time you've done this?  Probably.

Here's a review if you need it.  Get the fire flower, and blast the areas with the snow statues of Bowser to get the Star Launcher.  Go ahead and use it, and get to the one area with the loads of prizes and things to be destroyed by the Fire Flower.

Anyway, there is a snow covered tree that has to be removed with fire flower or big snowball, whatever.  The pipe will lead to an area where chimp has a challenge for you.  It involves grabbing green and gold things while skating around.  You have about 40 seconds to do it, and when you get 500 points, the Chimp will give you the star.  Only 10 points are done for the green, but 50 points for the orange.

The trick to getting them is to use spin moves often to increase speeds when skating.  Another key is to remain on the outside here so when it changes, you are ready. Also, if you run into a prickly pear thing, you will probably not make it.

If you do this often enough (which you probably will), you will notice a pattern.   You might be able to be ready for the next one when you realize what that pattern is.

At least you don't lose a life every time you don't make it!
