Tail Towns

Ganz Tail Towns

Coming in 2012?

Tail Towns is a new online social world from Ganz related to a series of collectible woodland creatures.

It reminds me of a mix between Calico Critters and Webkinz World, but this is intended for an older following of teen girls and women. The storyline of Tail Towns includes "tangled tales of forbidden love, true romance, and hidden treachery".

Each figurine includes a code to become a member of Tail Towns. When you register you're given an 'estate'. You can also build up a town, complete jobs and quests, and earn rewards. Users can chat freely with other members.

The first series will include twelve resin figurines; 9 different mice, a fox, bunny, and raccoon.

If you'd like to check out Tail Towns without buying a figurine, they will have an option to try out parts of the site for free.

Become a Tail Towns Founder

I joined the Tail Towns mailing list a while back and on February 9th got an email inviting me to become an Exclusive Tail Towns Founder. If you sign up soon you'll probably get the same opportunity.

"Be one of the first few thousand people to experience Tail Towns, the new online social world from Ganz, the makers of Webkinz.

We're extending you a special opportunity to play Tail Towns ahead of it's public release. Enjoy special status as a Founder in a new massively multiplayer online world of timeless charm and engaging woodland creatures!"

You are asked to install their Unity web player plugin to become part of their beta testing team.
