The Best things to buy in the prestige shop on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 ( MW3 )

Updated on September 9, 2012

Intro

Here i will talk about the things in the prestige shop, and what the best thing for you to buy is. I will go through and give my personal opinion on the best thing that will work for you.

Also upon request I have created a Twitter account for Johnrr's Hubs which can be found here https://twitter.com/Johnrr631992

Also.. I am on the Xbox Live network, for those of you who continue to ask, my gamer tag is Agent Johnr. I tend to not add new members from here unless I play with you first, and I only play hardcore domination, or Infected, but either way if you see me on, feel free to send a shout out.

The prestige shop

Here is the list of things you will be able to buy in the prestige shop.

Extra Custom Class
Double XP (two hours in-game time)
Double Weapon XP
Regular Package (Callsign Title and Emblem)
Unlock Gear (Choose one item that's unlocked permanently)
Hardened Package
Veteran Package
Reset All Stats (resets everything, including your Prestige Level)

Description, and what to buy

So first off is the extra custom class. This can be helpful, or a waste. People like me who have played all the Call of Duties got at least 4 tokens. Some may have spent them or have been saving them. I know some who spent them all on extra custom classes, but personally i think this is a waste. I do not see the point in having more than 2 custom classes, let alone 5, so i do not need more than that. I use the same gun until i upgrade it then i move on to the next. So unless you really enjoy using more than 5 different set ups, i do not suggest wasting your tokens on this.

Two hours double XP. This is good and bad. I think this is good because this will help you rank up faster, and unlock better items. Also i Just bought one of these so that i could hurry up and get through another prestige. This really helps you boost your stats up a bit so you can get that level you really wanted, or just to help you get more levels done in that time you play. I don't suggesting using all your tokens on this at once, but one here and there won't hurt you.

Double weapon XP. This for me does not really make sense. Unless you really need an attachment or weapon upgrade, spending a prestige token is a waste on this. You will not get any true benefits from it, and it will not help you in the long run. Spend your money on the double xp instead, adn over time you will get the upgrade to your guns that you need.

Regular package. This is also a waste. You will get a title and emblem. The title is "far superior" and emblem is from COD 4. I only suggest this to those who are trying to unlock every single title and emblem, but other than that this is useless, and i suggest spending it on double xp instead.

Unlock gear. This is the best thing that you can spend your prestige tokens on. You will enable this after your first prestige, and i know i saved all the token i could for this. Anything you unlock will stay with you for all of your prestige's, so i highly suggest that you save your tokens for this.

Hardened pack. You will unlock the " superior being" title, and the emblem from 10th prestige on MW2. Once again unless you are going for the all title and emblems, this is useless especially having to wait until 5th prestige to use this. i would suggest unlocking more gear, or more double xp to get you further in that prestige. By the time you are 5th prestige you should be good, and getting that double xp will really help you in the long run.

Veteran package. This will be more titles and emblems after the 10th prestige. at this point if you want to spend a token on this, it may not be a bad thing since you will already have the enough gear by now, and no more to buy. This will be the best thing for you to buy in your 10th prestige since you are also in no rush to be through the level.

reset all stats. This to me seemed good until i found out it also took your prestige away. This takes away from it being good. If it just reset you KD ratio i would say go for it, but having to go through all that work again, does not seem worth it to me, so at this point i would boast your newly achieved 10th prestige.

So overall i would say go with the gear. This is the best thing that will get you far throughout the levels. I think this would make you happiest having that special edge at a level 1 in a new prestige, and once you get to 10 i would say at that point get your veteran package, but the rest really are not worth it.
