Viperine Gorgon Doll Monster High - News & Release Date

Today we are going to be taking a close look at the all new Viperine Gorgon doll from Monster High. We will review the new Viperine Gorgon doll, tell you about the release date and where exactly you can get hold of this new release. We will also tell you a little bit more about this exciting new Monster High character and give you an idea of what to expect from her. Along with that we will also tell you about some other new releases coming in the future. Monster High is one of the biggest selling lines of toys in the world at the moment. The theme started around five years ago when Mattel launched a new animated TV show that focused on a school for monsters. The children or ghouls as the students are known are all the offspring of some kind of monster. Over the years there have been various new characters brought out and there is a new episode on the internet every week. Along with the show Mattel brought out dolls and other merchandise. Over the years Monster High has gone on to be one of the most successful lines of dolls ever released and they sell millions of products every year all based on this clever little storyline. One of the latest characters that Mattel have dreamed up is Viperine Gorgon, so let’s take a look at her.

First of all we should mention that there was some confusion surrounding this new characters name. At first people were calling her Viperene Gordon, then we moved on to Viperene Gorgon and then we found out the name is actually spelt Viperine Gorgon and that seems to be the one we are sticking with. As you may have already guessed Viperine is related to Deuce Gorgon who has of course been a student at Monster High for some time. She is actually the cousin of Deuce and Viperine's mother is called Stheno who is actually the younger sister of Medusa who is of course Deuce's mum.

Viperine will be released with a TV special that is coming out early 2014. The Frights, Camera, Action special is going to be very exciting as there are quite a few other new ghouls being revealed, that means more dolls and more merchandise to collect. The release date then for Viperine Gorgon and the other dolls released in this range is likely to be around March sometime. However, as is often the case with Monster High release dates this could well be moved forward and we may even see some dolls appearing online by the end of this year.

So what can we tell you about the actual character. Well currently not much is known about Viperine, at the San Diego Comic Con it was announced that she would be previewed later in the year at the New York Comic Con where there would be a Monster High booth. Now that event has taken place and the first pictures of Viperine have been released. As you can see she has bright pink hair, we were hoping she may have snakes for hair, but this is not the case. She does however had a wonderful necklaces made up of snakes. Her eyes are also very serpent like although she wears large sunglasses which cover these up to some extent. Overall the new Viperine Gorgon doll does look like being a very good one and one that will no doubt be massively popular.

What else is there coming up in the near future then? Well as we have already mentioned Viperine is just one of the new characters from the Frights, Camera, Action special that is due to air early 2014. There are also some other new characters that will have dolls coming out. There is Honey Swamp who is the daughter of a Swamp Monster and she has some funky afro hair. There is Clawdia Wolf who is the older sister of Clawdeen. There is also going to be Elissabat who is possibly some relation of Draculaura although that has not yet been confirmed. There will be other new dolls released based on characters that we are already familiar with.

There is also a new range of Ghoul Spirit dolls coming out. We have seen Ghoul Spirit before but these are brand new releases. There is going to be a Slo Mo doll which will be the first doll based on this character that we have been familiar with for a while. There will also be a Venus McFlytrap and a new Frankie Stein doll. The release date for these is though to be around April although again this has not yet been confirmed.

There are also two new dolls coming out in the Sweet Screams range, these will be Draculaura and Frankie Stein. We are not sure of a release date for these yet although they are said to be a Target exclusive, although we are sure they will turn up online as well.

No doubt there will be plenty of other new dolls coming out over the next year or so. There has been talk of a possible Iris doll which would be really something as she is a great looking character due to her having just one big eye. There is also a new character called Jane Boolittle who is said to be the daughter of a witch doctor, she will be out sometime in the spring and she has a pet sloth as her animal. We are also expecting a new Bram Devin doll at some point in the near future which is good news as there is a shortage of male dolls.

As you can see there are plenty of new characters and dolls in the pipeline. Fans of Monster High certainly are going to be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding which new dolls they want to buy. Mattel are very good at keeping fans interested in the franchise and chances are that we will see plenty more new dolls coming out in the future to match the massive demand for them.
