Updated on February 3, 2013

On this page we are going to take a look at Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown, Lego item number 6866. This is from the Lego Super Heroes Marvel range of toys. We will review the new Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown set and also have a look at release dates, prices and where to buy online. If this is a set you are after then you should find everything you need to know on this page.

In 2012 Lego released their exciting new Super Heroes range of toys. Most of the new sets were Batman themed and fans were very impressed at the level of detail on some of the sets. It is expected we may well see more Batman toys when the film ’The Dark Knight Rises’ is released later in the year. In the second wave of releases one of the new Lego sets we are going to see is this one, Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown, so let’s take a closer look at this new toy.

Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown Lego Set 6866

So obviously this new Lego set is going to be based around the Marvel character Wolverine. The set has the item number 6866 and is expected to contain 201 pieces, making it a medium sized set. We have no definite news on price yet but most sources claim it will be around the $30 mark. As always we do expect the prices to drop ever so slightly when they are widely available and if you buy online you should be able to get this for a decent price. At this point we have no official pictures of the new release but when we get some we will post them up here.

This new Super Heroes set will feature three minifigures. These are going to be Wolverine, Deadpool and Magneto. The detail on the figures is stunning, as you would expect Wolverine is holding the claw pieces. The main bulk of the set comes in two parts, one is of course Wolverine’s motorcycle or chopper and the other is a helicopter that both Magneto and Deadpool ride in. The helicopter can fire missiles and Wolverine is trying to make his escape from these. Both vehicles have moving parts and look very good so you should find there is lots of playability with both of them.

As of yet we have no official release date for this set although apparently it is due for release sometime in April. Now though the set has officially been released and you can buy it online. So now we have all the details regarding this set and you can pick it up online for a decent price. This set looks like being a really good one and the minifigures alone make this one very desirable for fans of the Super Heroes range.

Other New Lego Super Heroes Sets

The hype around the release of Lego Super Heroes range was massive. The new Batman sets and the Superman set have all been very impressive and fans really do seemed pleased with what Lego have come up with. There are though more sets due for release in the spring of 2012. As well as the Wolverine toy we are also going to see Captain America’s Avenging Cycle, Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape, Hulk’s Helicarrier Breakout, Quinjet Aerial Battle and also Spider-Man’s Doc Ock Ambush. With the exception of the spiderman set all these are expected to be released in April.

As well as some exciting new Lego sets we are also going to see three more Ultrabuild toys, these will be Iron Man, The Hulk and Captain America. Lego are busy bringing out new Super Heroes toys all the time and there is just so much to keep up with. These new toys really are very impressive and there is so much more that Lego can do with the Marvel Range and the DC Universe range as well. The company are expected to bring out even more new sets later in the year. The fact is that 2012 looks like being a very exciting year for Lego fans.
