   When you purchase a lottery ticket, do you play your numbers or do you quick pick?
   
   Are the odds better if you play your own numbers or quick pick? What is the ratio of winners who have won with quik pick versus playing their own numbers?

   It goes without saying that your odds are greatly improved by playing the same set of numbers over and over again. If you are changing your numbers each time as happens on quick pick, you are essentially starting over from scratch... for lack of a better explanation. I'm not statitician, but I have read that keeping the same numbers is a method many lotto winners have used.

   $20 maximum per trip: only when traveling out of state: find a needy looking convenience store clerk alone and offer to share 10% on any winner. Last time I played one picked a $100 winner on a $10 game card. This isn't dubious, one has to play those gamers wisely or they'll lose more than their shirt over time.

   I play quick picks and always say that I don't want to be responsible for picking losing numbers. This way I don't have to blame myself. As faras the odds, I suspect it makes no difference unless you are clairvoyant (seems like I read a HUB about that the other day). I am not, unfortunately.

   I use to do quick picks but too many instances of crappy groups of numbers have moved me to pick for myself

   I don't play often but recently started since the Pots so big on Mega Millions. I have been doing quick pick but I am going to start picking my own. I don't know if the odds are better but think it'd just be funner..

   I use a spreadsheet and keep track of the winning numbers for each of my states lotteries.  We have (NY) Lotto, Take 5, pick 10, Mega Millions and Powerball.  I pick my numbers based on the ones that are most frequent.  I have not hit it big but a lot of my individual numbers how up and I average $20-40 a week
