What do you want from an Elder Scrolls game?

For those of you who don't know, I've been reviewing the last three Elder Scrolls games (the ones I've played) and am planning on doing a hub for the hopes and dreams concerning future titles.  What did you like from the old games that got lost in the new?  What new things do you hope stay?  What old things were you glad to see go?  What new things do you hope disappear?

Well, you probably already know most of my thoughts, but I'll do a list of brief things:

    Included:

+ The murder mystery style questing of Oblivion, and a thrilling storyline that takes you in multiple directions (with the player's consent). Also, must be followable from the start.
+ Easy to find Daedric shrines, easier requirements and engaging quests from them.
+ A zone we haven't seen before, full of tensions (like the Orcs and their hatred for.... everyone, in Orsinium)
+ Repentance for the sin that was utterly destroying the quests of Skyrim. How about restoration of the Dark Brotherhood, which didn't feel like a generic kill quest spree like the end of the questline in Oblivion?
+ Fixed textures and carefully designed DLC

    Removed:

    - Shouting. The sooner those memes end, the better. Not to mention it didn't do that much for gameplay in general.
.- The use of Kinect. With shouts gone, I don't need Kinect when a controller works much faster and more reliable.
    - The talent tree system. I like customization but not when it's done as badly as this. A better hybrid system was in Two Worlds or heck, even Rift. True, it leads to farming but jumping doesn't give you the advantage in combat over a mud crab.

That's just a brief idea as to what I want/don't want in the next game (not inc. the MMO). Hope this inspires some more answers for your question ^^

So far I've only played Oblivion, and very briefly Morrowind. And, between those two games, they fixed what bothered me most. I wanted something that could track quests so I didn't get easily lost, and I wanted the weapons to make contact every time I swung them. Oblivion fixed that and I really hope those two features are carried over into future titles.

I think if I were to change/add anything it would be in relation to npcs. I don't know about Skyrim, but in Oblivion they felt very static and robotic. Sure, it was nice when they would say something like "Look, it's the Crimson Blade; the grand champion of the arena!" but for the most part I felt like I was alone in this world. I want events to occur, crowds to form, and character interactions to play out independently of what I'm doing. Granted, this requires a powerful machine to pull off, but I really feel like that was the only thing that fell short on the immersion factor in Oblivion.
