Diablo 3 Find the Lair of the Witch in Alcarnus

Updated on May 23, 2012

Diablo 3 Find the Lair of the Witch in Alcarnus

In Diablo 3, the hero must find the lair of the witch in Alcarnus. The witch is the leader of the coven. To find the witch, the hero must get to Alcarnus. The road to Alcarnus is not an easy one. The hero starts at the hidden camp in Caldeum. He must first disrupt the coven's activities on the road to Alcarnus. Following this, the hero must find the Khasim Outpost. Once the hero passes through the Khasim Outpost eastern gate, he is within running distance of Alcarnus. This will provide a synopsis of the hero's journey from the hidden camp in Caldeum to Alcarnus, and some of the dangers and surprises along the way.

Diablo 3 Hidden Camp At Caldeum

The hidden camp is the hero's base at Caldeum. This is where the hero can return whenever he is in need of supplies or repair of equipment. Initially, at the hidden camp in Caldeum, the hero must head down to the Caldeum bazaar. The Caldeum bazaar is another area where supplies (and especially health potions) can be bought. At the Caldeum bazaar, talk to Asheara and learn of the atrocities of the Coven in the Caldeum region. Head out through the gates of Caldeum to find the diablo 3 third follower. Follow her (and the footsteps in the sand) and find the two areas where the coven is performing rituals. This is the Shadows in the Sand quest. Defeat the coven members at these locations. These locations include the hidden conclave and the secret altar. Proceed to find the Khasim Outpost after that.

The Khasim Outpost is found by heading in a general northern direction past the black canyon bridge. At the Khasim Outpost, speak to Lieutenant Vachem and learn that the hero needs to speak to Commander Davyd. Strangely enough, Coammander Davyd is found in the cellars at the Khasim Command Post. Not the usual place to find a commander. It is no surprise that this turns out to be a lie. The guards in the cellar turn quickly into copperfang lurkers. These copperfang lurkers can easily overwhelm the hero due to the surprise attack. For the wizard hero, quickly go into diamond skin form and use force of wave to throw the enemies backwards. Finish off the stunned copperfang lurkers and rescue Commander Davyd. He will open the gate and allow the hero to travel via the Khasim Outpost East Gate to Alcarnus.

Diablo 3 City of Blood

The hero needs to travel through the Stinging Winds area. Finally, the hero will reach Alcarnus, the City of Blood. The Road to Alcarnus waypoint can be seen outside Alcarnus. Within Alcarnus itself, the hero may want to spend some time rescuing the caged prisoners. The prisoners and the town of Alcarnus are guarded by monsters. These monsters include the hellions, tortured thralls and the almost ever-present cultists. As the wizard hero, try not to be surrounded by hordes of these enemies and there should be no problem in these fights. Once these are defeated, search Alarnus for the entrance to the lair of the witch and then defeat the witch.
