Diablo 3 Breached Keep Quest
Diablo 3 The Breached Keep Quest
In Diablo 3, the demonic forces of Azmodan finally breaches Bastion's Keep ........ from underneath. For most of the battle so far, the hero has fended off these forces from the top of Bastion's Keep. Now the hero must find the entrance to the Keep Depths levels and defeat these monsters to defend Bastion's Keep. This will provide a synopsis of the hero's journey from the turning the tide quest and trying to raise the catapults in Stonefort to trying to find the Breach and the Larder in the Keep Depths.
Diablo 3 Turning the Tide Quest
The hero speaks to Sergeant Dalen in the Skycrown battlements after the signal beacons are lit. The hero is tasked with trying to raise the catapults in Stonefort. Once the catapults are raised, then the tide will be turned against the demon forces of Azmodan.
To raise the catapults, the hero must first find the levers that control the catapults. There are three catapults in total. Each catapult has been abandoned initially due to the lack of manpower and the fear of the demons. At the first two stations, the hero will be asked to provide cover for the recruits who will race across to activate the levers whilst the hero hold back the tide of enemies which are swarming in. These two time based events allow the hero to help raise the catapults.
Finally at the third catapult, there are no more recruits. A whining lieutenant tasks the hero to pull the levers with him at the same time. However, enemies continue to attack the heroes in the meantime. If the hero abandons his post, and he has to from time to time, then the lieutenant will start whining again. Hold off and defeat the monsters, and then return to the lever. Alternate between defeating the monsters and pulling the lever, and the third catapult will be raised.
With the third catapult raised, the battle at the top of Bastion's Keep has been turned in the hero's favor, and the hero can now return to Bastion's Keep Stronghold in triumph.
Diablo 3 Find the Keep Depths Level 2
Diablo 3 Find the Breach in Bastion's Keep
Diablo 3 Find the Keep Depths Level 2 and the Larder of Bastion's Keep
However, all is not good, as news that the bottom or the Depths of Bastion's Keep have been breached reaches the hero upon his return. The hero must now turn the tide against the demons by defeating the hordes in the Depths. To do this, the hero must travel to the keep depths level 1. This the breached keep quest.
The journey through the Keep Depths level 1 is a protracted long journey through a maze like dungeon filled with demonic forces. A map will help obviously. The goal here is to find the Keep Depths Level 2, and then the Breach in the Keep Depths level 2 to descend into the Keep Depths level 3. The Keep Depths level 2 is devilishly similarly to level 1, and consists of crampy small rooms with lots and lots of monsters. Use close range melee skills that deal massive amounts of damage and freezing abilities to get through these areas. The monsters in the depths of Bastion's Keep include -
- demonic tremors - these monsters are heard before they are seen. For the wizard hero, use frost armor and spectral blades to create a damaging and freezing combination to put down the demonic tremors.
- fallen maniacs - these can take down the hero with one massive attack, so attack them from range if possible.
- demon raiders
- soul rippers - these jump in and damage the hero before he knows the combat has begun.
- demon troopers
- icy quillbacks
- skeletal marauders
Once the hero is down into the Keep Depths level 3, the way to the larder of Bastion's Keep is much simpler, and the rooms are larger, so the hero can run from room to room (much easily) without being taken down by monsters. This particular hero finds the larder of Bastion's Keep by heading in a easternly direction. Once the entrance to the larder is reached, head downstairs and prepare to take on the Lord of Gluttony.
