Handcrafted Wooden Pens As An Art Form

Handcrafted Wooden Pens As An Art Form

Handcrafted wooden pens are a lot like works of art. They are created with careful attention, and you can feel that just by holding them.

Handcrafted wooden pens are works of art. Some people could never see a pen or pencil as a work of art but if you look at a handmade pen versus a mass-produced pen, you can see the difference.

There are those who look deeper, however. Anything can be a work of art depending on the care and creativity funnelled into its creation. You just need to think of what qualifies as art and you will be able to see handcrafted wood pens for what they are.

Artists come in all forms. They are not limited to painters and sculptors. Even if the finished product is not put on display but is used in every day life, anything can be a work of art if it was created with an artist's eye.

Handcrafted Pens - Made with Love (and Pride)

Woodworkers Have An Eye For Detail

Woodworkers who turn handcrafted pens with care have to have an eye for detail. A hand turned pen must be crafted in such a way that it will work with the natural contours of the human hand. Its shape and its finish must be conducive to its proper usage as a writing implement. Without the ability to use it, the pen would not be a pen. It would only look like one.

A woodworker also needs an eye for aesthetic appeal. Wood pens must be attractive in the end. You might think that beginning with a medium such as wood could keep the end result from going astray, but any amateur woodworker can tell you otherwise. It takes time, practice, and skill to create a beautiful, functional, wooden pen.

The Spirit Within Handcrafted Wooden Pens

It has been said that whenever someone makes something by hand that a piece of their spirit lives within that object. You know what this hold some truth when you hold anything made by hand. You can do more than just see the care and finesse that went into making quality wooden pencils and pens. You can feel the attention and care that formed them. The pen is not just a pen. It is the story of its own creation.

Handcrafted wooden pens can be very much like works of art if you find one crafted by someone who truly cares. I can’t recommendthe site featured in the blog belowstrongly enough – this is a craftsman who REALLY loves his work!
