Fun Outfits For Kirby Plushies
How Many Different Outfits Can You Make For A Kirby Plush Toy?
My son is really getting into making handmade video game plushies this summer. After realizing that buying every plushie that he ever wanted is not an inexpensive goal and that it is relatively easy to make his own, he watched a few videos, bought some supplies, and started making plushies of his favorite video game characters.
His latest accomplishment has been making various outfits for Kirby plushie that he made. He has done such a great job that his work deserved to be displayed on a Squidoo lens.
This lens shows the creative outfits that he has designed as well as making other Kirby-related plushies.
Kirby was made following the directions in the YouTube video below. But the outfits have all been custom designed by my son!
The pictures shown on this page were taken by me unless otherwise noted.
Patriotic Kirby
When the 4th of July holiday rolled around, my son was inspired to create a US flag cape and turn Kirby into a superhero. He also likes to think of this as a 'Captain America' related costume for Kirby.
Kirby With A Hat And Sword
This costume came from one of the characters in a Kirby video game. I think it was from Kirby in Dream World. The sword is made entirely from felt so is not dangerous to anyone including Kirby!
Karate Kirby
I thought this outfit was particularly creative. Maybe the inspiration came the Ninja Jump game on his iPod. This is an example that is very simple. Only one piece of felt is needed for this with some imaginative cutting and fitting to the Kirby plushy.
Chef Kirby
In case you were wondering, the item in Kirby's hand is a spatula. I don't know what Kirby's favorite meal is.
DJ Kirby
If you can't tell what is on his head, don't feel bad. It took me a while to figure out that those are headphones! We need a turntable to complete the DJ theme.
