SWTOR Dark Temptations Quest
SWTOR Dark Temptations Quest
In SWTOR, the jedi knight must defeat the flesh raider bladewielder and recover Laotah's lightsaber. This is the dark temptations quest. The jedi knight may have some trouble trying to put down the flesh raider bladewielder, as his damage is significantly higher per unit time compared to a level 7 (recommended level for this quest) jedi knight. In addition, the flesh raider bladewielder has a sidekick with him, which makes it doubly hard and quite annoying as the jedi knight will be hit by both the bladewielder and his “bodyguard”. This will guide the jedi knight in using the right tactics and abilities to defeat the bladewielder.

SWTOR Tactics and Abilities to Use to Defeat the Flesh Raider Bladewielder
The flesh raider bladewielder lives in a cave, up the stairs and to the left in the ruins of Kaleth. Before getting to the flesh raider bladewielder, the jedi knight must face some tythonian guardians. The tactics listed below can also be used against the silver level (strong) tythonian guardians; however it is recommended the item deficient jedi knight save the fortitude stim for the bladewielder.
Before heading for the main boss of the dark temptations quest, remember to purchase lots of healing medpaks and stims (preferably get the fortitude stim rather than the adrenalin stim). Now head into the cave and meet Laotah, who says that the bladewielder has stolen his lightsaber. Then Laotah collapses onto the ground. Proceed deeper into the cave and encounter lots of other flesh raiders. These should be easy to eliminate. Next, look up and see the flesh raider bladewielder standing in a corner holding up the lightsaber. Do not miss the puny bodyguard kneeling before the bladewielder. Now rush in and finish off the puny bodyguard.
It is possible that the low level jedi knight will perish attacking both the bladewielder and the bodyguard. Revive yourself in this area away from the (remaining) bladewielder. Now face the bladerwielder and do the following -
- use the stim pack.
- force jump into the bladewielder.
- activate the saber ward.
- keep striking the bladewielder until enough focus has been built up.
- activate storm blade on the bladewielder.
- if there is enough focus, activate force sweep.
- on a successful parry, use riposte on the bladewielder.
- these key abilities should be arranged for easy access on a MMO style keyboard or mouse for easy transition from one button to another so that maximal damage is maintained and there is no let up.
- the jedi knight needs to heal up when his health is down to about half.
With the use of healing medpaks and stims, the jedi knight will be able to defeat the bladewielder and retrieve the lightsaber. Unfortunately, this is not the jedi knight's usable lightsaber.
SWTOR Dealing with the Twi'lek Pilgrims
The defeat of the bladewielder does not spell the end of the dark temptations quest. The jedi knight has to return to the Twi'lek village and speak to Ranna Tao'Ven. Learn of her betrayal, and deal with the Twi'lek prigrims peacefully or non-peacefully. The latter allows the jedi knight to use his abilities again against multiple foes, and earn some dark side points.
