Wii Karaoke Games: The Top 10
We all have a rock star, pop star and opera star inside of us looking for an opportunity to get out. We sing in the shower, in the car and whenever we think no-one is looking. With Wii Karaoke you no longer need to hide your talents; take the mic in hand and belt out to your heart’s content with your favourite choice of music to accompany you.
With a wide variety of singing genres there is something for everyone in the family to sing. Below is a list and description of the 10 most popular Karaoke titles for Wii as voted by thousands of users.
The Top 10 Wii Karaoke games in random order are…
1. Disney Sing It: Family Hits Bundle
If you or your kids are fans of the Disney cartoons then this singing game is ideal for you. With more than 30 songs from all the popular Disney hit movies like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Toy Story, Peter Pan and many more, this is family fun like no other.
You’ll be humming to yourself long after the game is finished.
2. We Sing Pop
If Pop Music is your thing then this is the singing game for you. Featuring 30 classic songs spanning 6 decades there is something for everyone, with songs from Adele, Lady Gaga, The Pussycat Dolls, etc. The game allows you to sing solo, duets and lets up to four people sing at one time; so the 2 additional microphones that come with this game will come in handy.
In “We Sing Pop” you can also take singing lessons, add effects to your voice and replay your performance.
3. Disney Sing It: Party Hits
Whether you are a child of 5 or a teenager, Disney Sing It: Party Hits comes with music that everyone can enjoy. Although this game does not always have the most popular songs by artists like Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Hannah Montana, this does have the advantage of making it more challenging by limiting the boredom factor.
You can perform solo, duet with family and friends or even compete head-to-head. As an added bonus, and what I thought was the coolest feature about this game, was the voice coaching and voice recording facility that comes with this game. In “Sing It Pro” mode Disney Channel star Tiffany Thornton will show you proper breathing, pitch techniques and how to riff and harmonize.
If your child or teenager loves to sing then this game should be a part of their Wii games collection.
4. Karaoke Revolution: Presents American Idol Encore 2 with Microphone
We all have an inner “Performer” waiting to get out, and with this awesome game you get to step in front of the original American Idol judges and strut your stuff. With over 40 songs from the 70’s to today to choose from, and multiple player modes, this is the perfect party accessory.
With proprietary technology that accurately recognizes and scores your vocal pitch and rhythm you can improve enough to make it to the Idols auditions.
5. Def Jam Rapstar
Whether you simply like to hit the rhymes at home or hope to start a career behind the mic, this is the perfect game for you. With over 40 tracks from old school to new school, it will give your rhyming skills a workout.
Besides the usual different modes that you can play the game in (freestyle, battle, duet, etc.), practice mode gives you feedback on your lyrical accuracy, tone and timing; and the video editing facility allows you to make your own music videos. All a future Hip Hop star in the making needs.
6. Wii Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore

This is rated as one of the best karaoke games for Wii.
7. Rock Band: Country Track Pack
If you like the Rock Band concept and you like country music then bust out the denim and put on your boots for 21 of the most foot-stomping, good time tunes this side of the Mississippi. 8. Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 3
Whether you are a Gleek or not, this game is a must have for the Wii Karaoke enthusiast. With over 35 great songs from season 2 of the series it even allows you to sing a capella with up to six of your fellow crooners.
Even though I have never seen the series, after playing this game even I wanted to attend McKinley High.
9. ABBA You Can Dance
This game takes the cake in originality. Not only does it allow you to sing the band’s hit songs (26 in all) in “Karaoke” mode, you can even do your own mini-musical of ABBA songs. Isn’t that cool? Okay, only if you’re into ABBA.
10. Boogie
Shake your booty, sing your heart out and get ready to be a Boogie superstar! Be “discovered” and whisked away to a top secret, tropical island where you will be taught what it takes to be a star.
The Wii motion capture technology will capture your dance movements and play them back to you on screen as you sing and dance, and with over 40 popular songs there will be a lot of singing and dancing.
And just because I know you can’t get enough, here’s just ONE more for the road…
11. We Sing: 80s
If you miss the 80’s, the BIG hair and Reaganomics, then this game is for you. We Sing: 80s has 30 unforgettable hits including 21 No. 1’s by such 80’s legends as Cindy Lauper, Toto, Queen and Blondie.
As well as the usual “Solo” and “Karaoke” modes this game includes an 8 multiplayer party mode. Invite your friends over and rock the house! And this is a great birthday present for mom too!
