Stress has become an integral part of our everyday life. How to get relieved of stress? To get relieved of stress, we must first identify the physical signs of stress. Stress may affect one’s health and at times may even strain one's relationship. When we are stressed, we tend to be angry and frustrated. There are many times when we feel that our entire energy has been exhausted. These may affect our immune system. Here are 10 quick, easy and fun ways to relieve stress.
1. Listen to some soothing music: When stressed, put on your headphones and start listening to some soothing music. This can even be a rap or a pop music; as long as you feel it soothes you, listen and enjoy.
2. Call up or go out with your friends: How about calling up a dear friend or family member of yours and enjoy some valuable time together? One thing to remember here is not to talk about your activities and your stress; have a chit-chat, speak about the latest films or things that you like.
3. Laugh: “Laughter is the best medicine.” Laugh your way to get out of stress. I recently saw a group of people laughing in the park early in the morning and inquired what happened. They told me they are getting relieved of stress by simply laughing.
4. Massage: Massage is another easy way to relieve stress. You could either set up a home spa or go to spa near your place and pamper yourself. During a massage, toxins from the body are released and this helps in relieving stress.
5. Take a bath: Do you feel that it would take time to visit a spa? Take a shower or a bubble bath.
6. Drawing or painting: Do you have interest towards arts and crafts? If yes, how about drawing or painting. This will give way to vent your feelings and thus get relieved of stress.
7. Play games: Who said only children can play? Play some games with your children or a sport that you enjoy. Call out any of your friend or family member and start playing a sport that you enjoy like tennis, rugby, etc. It is not necessary whether you lose or win; it is just a sport.
8. Go on a vacation: When you are stressed too much, better take a break and go on a vacation. It can be just 1 or 2 days; don’t think of your official work or about how much pending work is there at home at the end of this vacation. Spend quality time with your near and dear. It will rejuvenate you and make you work better and smarter.
9. Walk in the garden: Do you have a small garden? If yes, take a walk or water your plants. What if you don’t have a garden? Go to a nearby park, watch those little children play and see how relieved you would feel.
