10 Techniques That Push You to Succeed

It is time to push past your comfort zone and start working your way to success. Whether you seek personal, financial, or business success, there are certain techniques you can use to improve your opportunities to succeed. You will want to push yourself, motivate yourself, and celebrate each little victory along the way. It won’t be easy, but each moment will be worth the effort.

1. See the End Result

Numerous successful people use this technique and it has been covered in numerous self help books for one main reason - it works. Before you begin your project, visualize the end results. A runner will visualize herself running in a race and winning at the finish line. A golfer will visualize himself hitting a hole in one before he ever steps up to make his swing. Before beginning any project or task, first visualize the steps to reach the end results so that your brain knows exactly what it will be doing and the goals you will be working towards.

2. Create a Plan

When I say create a plan, I don’t mean daydream about being successful (although that is part of the process of success). Grab pen and paper and, at the top of the page, write down your main goal. Beneath that, start breaking that goal down into actionable steps. These steps are your plan for success. Rework them whenever necessary and keep them posted where you can see them on a daily basis.

3. Facing Fears

The fear of success is just as common as the fear of failure. Anyone who wants to succeed in life, have to face both fears: the fear of the unknown future and the fear of overcoming past failures. You have to face your fears on the path to success. There is no way around it. Otherwise, you will be stuck right where you are right now. Identify what you are afraid of and make a definitive decision to overcome those fears or, better yet, push them all aside and tell yourself that you are starting this moment with a clear slate. All personal fears are irrelevant when you are on the path to success.

4. Motivational Talks

Watch motivational talks on YouTube. There are numerous resources on YouTube that will help you prepare to succeed, learn what it takes to succeed, and motivate you to succeed. Set aside a few minutes each morning to watch one or two videos. Some of these are only 5 minutes long and others can take up over an hour. Break your watching and listening time down to 30 minutes at most each morning before you begin your work. Don’t cram the information. Instead, take your time with the resources so that you can make the suggestions a definite part of your lifestyle.

5. Be Intentionally Different

Separate yourself from the herd. Express yourself, wear different clothes, or create your own catchy phrases. Do things that other people don’t do so that you mentally set yourself apart from the humdrum. We are each unique individuals. When we acknowledge that simple fact and act on it, we are triggering our creative energies to go into overdrive and work towards personal success.

6. Strengthen Your Weaknesses

We all have our weaknesses, but it is up to us whether we strengthen them or let them hold us back. To be successful, you need to identify your personal weaknesses and choose which weaknesses, if strengthened, would suit your goals best. An obvious example is you have set your goal to write a book, but you are weak in grammar. It would suit you best to strengthen your grammar skills by taking online grammar classes and practicing grammar using high school workbooks.

7. Bite Off More Than You Can Chew

Sometimes you just have to add to the pressure to succeed. One trick to doing this is by taking on a few more tasks than you would normally do. You need to challenge yourself and force yourself to do more than what you are already doing, because slow and steady does not always win the race. In fact, in today’s world, being slow and steady will leave you in the dust.

8. Learn How Others Did It

Do you want to launch a successful business? One of the best things you can do for yourself is learn how other successful business owners reached their goals. Read their autobiographies and read as many articles about them as you can find online. Knowing the steps they took to succeed will help you plan out your own map to success.

9. Exhaust Yourself

When you are on the push to succeed, you need to work until your are exhausted. When building a website or blog, don’t do one simple task and set the rest for the next day. Keep on working on building the site until you just can’t see straight anymore. Have a good night’s rest, and do it again the next day. Success doesn’t happen by taking it easy. It requires constant work.

10. Get Help

You can’t do everything on your own and, to be honest, there are times when we all need a push in the right direction. If you can spare the cash, hire a professional coach to keep you going when you need it, someone who will hold you accountable, and put the fire under your bot when you need it. There are lifestyle coaches, weightless coaches, business start-up coaches, and coaches for just about everything else. You could also harness the power of peer pressure. Use Facebook to post your goals and let your friends know your plans. Ask for help when you need it and find soul friends to communicate with privately so that you can help each other reach your goals.
