In 2009, Yolanda developed low back pain so grievous that she could not stand upright. She had no alternative but to walk bent over facing downwardly. She was afraid of getting medical help for fear of bad news about her health. She encountered stiffness and mild pain in her low back in the past.

Typically, the discomfort resolved on its own but not this particular time. Yolanda used her routine common home remedies, but this time was different. There was no relief at all. She did not want to take time off from work. She had many responsibilities and felt things would fall apart in the office in her absence. Yolanda struggled to perform her daily routine hunched over for three months.

Finally, Yolanda made an appointment with a chiropractor a friend recommended. After several tests and x-rays, she received a diagnosis of sciatica.




What Is Sciatica?

Sciatica represents general irritation or compression of one of five sciatic nerve roots of the spine. Sciatica causes pain in the low back and buttock.
