How To Embrace Your Unique Style!

What is Shabby Chic?

The definition: Vintage Style.

In regards to furniture Shabby Chic is described as chosen for their appearance of age and signs of wear and tear or where new items are distressed to achieve the appearance of an antique. At the same time, a soft, opulent, yet cottage-style decor, often with an affected feel is emphasized to differentiate it from genuine period decor.

My definition stems from a genuine point of view, In reflection that we all go through our distressed moments in life, but these trying times should never define our value.

Once we embrace our inner beauty only then our we capable of building a fashion that represents how we feel about ourselves. Only then will are standards turn a deaf ear void toward the illusion of Hollywood and the fashion industry.

80% is a huge number of women and you wonder why it isn't front page news with massive government-run programs to assist! I think many women know that the aim of industry is to sell stuff to consumers and in facing a lack of problems, industry invents them (ie, women's bodies being imperfect). The silly thing is that they don't seem to understand that women would buy stuff anyway, we just like nesting and having colourful things on us and around us. It's fun when the body stuff is taken out of it. Voted interesting!

I agree Suzanne. Women love glitter and colorful things all around us. The sad facts is that Glamour Magazine indicates that the number is rising concerning women and self esteem issues. Very sad. Thanks for stopping by.
