 Bruxism is a condition in which a person involuntarily clenches their jaw and grinds their teeth while they are sleeping.  It is actually a very common condition and one that can be extremely hard to deal with.  There could only be mild symptoms as a result such as a sore jaw in the morning but there can also be much more serious effects caused by bruxism.  Some people have chipped or even missing teeth and can even get infections in their gums from constantly biting down on their teeth and cheeks. 

 There are different treatments for bruxism available and which people can use to get relief of their condition.  A lot of people want to know how to prevent bruxism and there is actually no known cause of bruxism so therefore there is no surefire way to prevent it.  However, more than anything else anxiety and stress are considered as being associated with the condition.  Therefore, if you are able to keep your stress levels at a minimum you know you will have a much better chances of being able to prevent this condition.

 That includes yoga and meditation which you can do right at home.  Relaxation exercises such as yoga and meditation can work well to promote relaxation and help someone keep their stress levels down.  Even if you are only able to find a few days a week to make time for these sorts of exercises it will be more than worth it.  Getting a massage can also help and it will be a special treat to yourself so you can head to a salon or spa and just spend a couple hours relaxing.

 It is the seemingly simplest things that can be enough to keep stress levels down and keep you happier.  In turn you are going to prevent a condition like bruxism as well as many others.  All couples should make sure they are getting in a date night here or there, even if they have a house full of children.  Not only can stress result in a condition like bruxism but also in a number of other health conditions, some which are extremely serious.

 These are all great tips that will help any person to keep the stress and anxiety in their life down.  Whatever you can do that is going to make you happy and get rid of the stress, more power to you.  Remember if you ever notice any symptoms of bruxism you want to get in and see your doctor right away.  They will figure out what problem is at play here and if you do have bruxism they will help you to deal with it in the best way.
