A reminder.

I miss you

You are always with me.

When all the world around me seems to be falling apart,

and I’m left holding the pieces of my broken heart.

I will remind myself, you are alway’s with me.

When I cry for my losses when no one is listening

and my tears are like crystals in the sun light glistening.

I will remind myself, you are alway’s with me.

When I feel your voice is slipping away

and I can no longer hear the words you used to say.

I will remind myself, you are alway’s with me.

When my life has joy and delight

and as I sit by the sunsets glorious light.

I will remind myself, you are alway’s with me.

When day’s are speckled with darkness and fear,

and the sound of your voice I so wish to hear.

I will remind myself you are alway’s with me.

When my body becomes tired and old

and I leave this world needing a hand to hold,

I will remind myself, you will [be] with me!

We winter in FL. at N. Fort Myers. Pine Island is only a few miles from us.

It is a small world.

LOL,,,most times my mother sends me dirty pigeon feathers,,,it's nice to know she hasn't lost her sense of humor. I laugh when I see them, I keep telling her I'm not going to pick them up, but I do! LOL See I told you we had a lot in common! Were are you located now?

We are in N. Ft. Myers, FL., in The Heritage. We will stay here until May or June. Then, we will return to Louisville, Ky. as that is where we call home. We have lived there since '89, and have some of the best neighbors that anyone could want.

I always look forward to coming south for the winter, but around May, I start getting home sick and can hardly wait to get back to Louisville.

NO WAY, my father was born and raised in Frankfort!! I have been there and " Loowaville " which is the correct pronunciation, many times. LOL, My Aunt currently lives there. Wow it really is a small world!

How in the world did you end up in R.I.?? My guess is that like most of us, the job takes us far away from our native state.

I was glad to see your comment. Many people lost power from the snow storm. When I did not see your comment, early last evening, I feared that you had lost power, as well. It was a relief to see you this morning.

Hang in there, wildove5, spring is not far away!!

My Father joined the navy in 1959, right out of Frankfort high school. He was stationed here in Quonset Point, R.I.. He and my mother met at a dance hall in providence, married In 1962 and the rest is history. As for the snow storm, we received about 30 inches from mother nature but fortunately never lost power. As for spring, I'm planning on helping it come early, planning a trip to Spring Hill to see my dad. Take care and keep writing, I love the way you write, I have read your poem to several already!
