All About Aloe Vera

Yesterday my cousin brought me four glass of Aloe Vera drink. It tasted so cool in my throat. This drink is very refreshing with flavors of lychees and created with a box shape. It’s so great to be consumed in a hot day. After I finished my drink, I have an idea to write this plant through Hubpages. Even though I found many hubbers had wrote this plant but I want to write this with my style. I think most of us know this plant very well. Aloe Vera has known as a medical plant or master of healing plant. Even The International Aloe Science Council as a non-profit association of aloe growers, manufacturers and scientists said that aloe vera as a magical plant of this century. If people trusted their health, beauty and nutritional needs inside aloe vera for centuries. In some studies said that aloe vera was one of the most important beauty secrets of Queen Cleopatra. According to history, the ancient Egyptians had discovered the efficacy of this plant since 1500 BC. Because of the very enormous efficacy, the ancient Egyptians called this plant as "the plant of immortality". These prickly plants are easily found in dry regions of Africa.

In the packaging of the aloe vera drink, it said that this plant has many benefits for our health, like:

  • Increase metabolism
  • Enhance the immune system
  • Stabilize cholesterol levels in the blood
  • Controlling blood pressure
  • Slow down premature aging
  • Strengthen skin cells and tissues
  • Improving digestion
  • Neutralize toxins in the body
  • Stimulate the immune system to attack cancer
  • Cure various diseases. Such as: sprue, constipation, ulcers, wounds, sore throats, acne, it can be used as a cure to various skin diseases, diabetes (a natural remedy in lowering blood sugar levels), ulcers, etc. The good news is aloe vera can be used as nutritional support for cancer, HIV/AIDS.

I believe that everything said above have been tested by several studies and researches. I am not joking if someone forbids us to consume aloe. But better if the Aloe should be cooked in advance or through the stages of the process to meet health standards.

Hi, Victoria Lynn. Nice to see you again. Sorry I don't have much information about your question, because I live in tropical country. But I found useful information about this from another website:

Do not water the aloe plant from above and keep the leaves dry at all times. Keep your aloe in the brightest spot in the home. A south-facing windowsill is ideal. Protect them during frosty night by draping them with a frost cloth.

Some species of aloe, such as Aloe aristata, Aloe polyphylla and Aloe striatula, grow naturally at high altitudes and can survive frost. Floridata's Steve Christman reports that the soap aloe (Aloe saponaria) will recover fast after hard freezes in Florida.

hey aloe vera is very effective but i dont know how much amount to take and howm many times to drink aloe vea juice a day...i hope u reply soon

prasetio30 profile image

Hi, happysingh. Good to see you here. To start I suggest one tablespoon three times a day, about half an hour before meals and once before bed. Small amounts on a regular basis to maintain a more constant flow of aloe vera in your digestive tract compared to taking a lot of once a day. But if you expect vera will help with your particular disease should gradually increase the amount until you start seeing results. You can reduce how much you drink for the "maintenance level". Thank you very much.

Hi prasetio

Aloe is a go-to for so many things. It is one plant I have not got in my yard since I moved last month but am going to get some. It is just so nice to have it to dab on this sore or that sore.

I have not ever consumed it but may have to give it a try.

Angels are on the way ...voted up and shared ps

In our country, aloe jam is made with traditional medicine powders and used for long ago. My grandma made that and always have it at night with two tea spoon for everyday. She died at 98 years but no disease such as no hypertension, no diabetes, no heart disease and especially no cancer although she always have her foods with too sweet and salty. She didn't take other medicine except aloe jam. I think it's good to her.
