The Name Says it All

Stops leg and foot cramps.

Crazy name, huh, but I guess they want you to know exactly what it is and no fancy title. Right to the point.

Many of you, I will assume, read my Myelopathy article telling about the name I finally got for all my years of pain. It explained so much but there is no cure except surgery to correct it; if you are lucky.

I had also seen a Rheumatoid Arthritis doctor that I did not continue to see since I didn't have Rheumatoid Arthritis who told me she thought I also had fibromyalgia. So this gives you just an idea of the pain.

I did find using a neck brace; with and without weights, do help and brought me out of a really scary situation when I thought I had no choice but surgery. The older you are the more risks there are and you are told to weigh the pros and cons. Having done that I opted for trying the exercises and doing what I could for the pain.

I had shared everything as it was happening with my dear friend Theresa, AKA Faith Reaper; who I am sure you all here at HubPages know. I told her of the intense pain I sometimes had regardless of what exercises I did.

As I told my doctors it is sort of like labor pains in my legs and arms. Of course you men will just have to use your imagination! Bad; I can tell you.

Amish Remedy

Do you think you might try this for your cramps or pain?

See results without voting

A HP friend, Theresa (AKA Faith reaper) mentioned to me that she sometimes took something someone had recommended or bought for her for foot and leg cramps and that it worked like right now!

Well these weren't really cramps for I have had cramps just a few times in my life as probably everyone has. Cramps are really intense and sharp and something you do need to get over with fast but my pain was more drawn out intense; sort of a pulling, never ending pain.

I had my doubts but I am really into natural things and have helped myself many times with natural remedies so I thought; why not, natural ingredients and actually I had used each one of the ingredients for separate reasons over the years. I knew they couldn't hurt!

Buy more, costs less and saves postage. I bought just one to start and paid more and postage to make sure it was good. Now I cannot have too much!

Amish Remedy

From vinegar, garlic and ginger!

Acid reflux

I noticed this remedy helping with indigestion; just wiping it out! Then I find out they have a remedy for acid reflux and it has these same ingredients. Is it the same thing? But you can order the acid reflux from the same company in the same looking bottle with the same ingredients. This works for me though so I will stick with this. Besides; I have a lifetime supply already!

It's a good thing

Theresa drinks hers straight but I think it is some very bad tasting stuff! I first drank it in orange juice or tea or something I normally drink and although I managed it I always dreaded it. Now I add it to my apple cider and cannot taste it at all!

Caleb Treeze Organic Farm produces an old Amish Remedy for leg and foot cramps.

It is called “Stops Leg and Foot Cramps” being a combination of organic apple cider vinegar, natural ginger and garlic juice.

They say relief comes in about a minute, with times differing from 30 seconds to two minutes. Theresa says it works for her that quickly; always.

Actually I have used each of these ingredients separately and had very good results such as using the ginger root in smoothies I found so good for stomach and indigestion.

1. A little ginger root grated in salad is great also to prevent stomach upsets.

2. I have used vinegar about all my life and know it is great for you.

3. Garlic cloves I have used and of course you cannot just eat enough raw garlic to do you the good you want so I have taken the garlic oil pills.

I took these for inflammation because I had not been diagnosed yet with anything and was not given any medicine for inflammation and a friend recommended three of the garlic oil a day for two weeks; which are the instructions on the bottle.

I could really tell a difference. I believe garlic is good for inflammation. For me that is a given.

So on all the ingredients of this remedy I had confidence but how could all these three together do all it claimed to do?

Amish recipe. Comes in plastic bottle and one cap full equals one dose. More is not needed in 24 hours.
Amish recipe. Comes in plastic bottle and one cap full equals one dose. More is not needed in 24 hours. | Source

Almost Instant Relief

I cannot praise it enough!

* One of the ways they recommend it is in orange juice and orange juice also is good to help cramps so I try to use it for the most part and from my own oranges when I can. The taste is much better.

Hiccups

This will stop hiccups fast. A tablespoonful in a quarter glass of water and your hiccups are gone.

Also helps with nighttime toe and foot twitching. (Restless leg? Yes!) Just rub it on your toes and feet or legs; where needed. Great to have around.

Save big bucks and no postage

When I ordered the first time Theresa had told me it was around $20 a bottle and I was willing to pay that but when I checked it out (which was Amazon where I order most things) I managed to get two bottles for $30 and saved the postage. I thought that was great but when I decided I wanted to get a good supply of this knowing I would probably be taking it many years; I came across an even better deal.

Total Nutrition Inc has the very same bottles and by spending $50 I managed to get the bottles for $9.79 a bottle! That is less than half what these bottles sell for. The five didn't come to the $50 minimal order so I tacked on a bottle of Cod Liver Oil pills I have been wanting to try to replace my fish oil and I found those for 100 @ $3.16! Total cost $52.11. Just Google and find what you want. There are a few choices.

I haven't quite finished my first bottle of Amish Remedy and have the other full one from the first order and now the five more I ordered so I would say I will be cramp free for quite awhile! Not only that; it is great for my pain. Most days now I can say life is good. Thanks to this alone. I would never claim this could cure anything but as a safe non-chemical way to help with spasms and pain I have seen no other like it! You will also notice other little things it clears up too! Such as acid reflux!

Now if I say I got on this right away and just saw miracles happening I would be a liar. I was not that smart to tell you the truth.

When I had really awful nights I would try it if I thought of it and it helped. I could get to sleep and then I would be OK until the next night.

A couple of times when Theresa asked about my pain and I told her she would ask did I try the Amish Remedy. No, I forgot all about that. It was in a cabinet I rarely opened. When I did try it it was not the full dose (which is just a small cap full).

I really did not realize what it could do and what a difference it would make. I think the idea that what I had was not really cramps per se, put me off using it as I should for a few weeks at least. Then the pain and drawing got so bad I got a bottle and left it by my bedside. Then I saw a difference!

Not only a difference but to me; a real miracle. With larger doses I was not only getting over these episodes before they got bad; I started having a lot less of them! Having this in my system seemed to make the difference.

I no longer feel like my legs and arms don't go with this body. I no longer have to prop arms on extra pillows to keep them straight to lesson the pain.

My legs don't have to constantly move with the pain drawing them out and making me feel like screaming! I don't lay any longer feeling like one big bee sting. This stuff works! I never want to be without it. Finding it for under $10 a bottle I now have 10 bottles ahead of the one I am using on and plan to stay there! I have paid $70 for all natural miracle cures and they were nothing compared to this.

Please let us know how it helps you. If you try it I know it will.

Update: I did have to have the surgery and I have that story here at HubPages, but I am not pain free and this remedy is still a big part of my life although I do not need it as often but simple for digestion alone I make sure I have some now and then! To me it is worth its weight in gold!

All Natural Ingredients

Specially blended.

Here are the four ingredients mixed up in a special and apparently secret way that make them come together for a powerful tonic that I personally know to be great.

Old Amish Remedy

Our amazing old Amish remedy will stop leg cramps at night
in about 60 seconds. It also works on muscle cramps
in your hands and feet.

Works instantly on all manner of cramps including leg, foot and
hand cramps. It works equally as well on back cramps, thigh
cramps and arm cramps and at lightning fast speeds.

This effective fast-acting natural muscle remedy, for both preventing leg cramps or stopping them once they start, was discovered by the Amish while they were still in Europe and brought to this country sometime in the 1880's. We find it curious that it has never before been made generally available to leg cramp and charlie horse sufferers until now especially, considering that this Amish remedy is the fastest acting relief for muscle cramps of any natural product anywhere.

Ingredients:
A carefully balanced mixture of certified organic unfiltered raw apple cider vinegar, juice from the ginger plant and just the right amount of all natural garlic juice in special combination so as to achieve almost instant relief from leg, foot and hand cramps. Salt and gluten free.

One bottle is usually enough for 2 to 3 months for most people.
You can keep it in your nightstand. (You only take it when you need it.) [These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.] http://www.stopslegcramps.com/

Apple cider vinegar benefits are many including everything from curing hiccups to stopping cold symptoms, (there's your cure if you don't buy this product!) but much bigger is that some people are turning to apple cider vinegar to help fight diabetes, cancer, heart problems, high cholesterol, and help with weight issues. Most germs can't survive in the acidic environment of vinegar. So would that equal an antibiotic? Sounds close; if not. Apple cider vinegar reduces water retention and interferes with the body’s digestion of starch; reducing calories!

Garlic inhibits bacterial growth, so may be used as a natural antibiotic! Here again we are fighting germs and bad that breaks our body down and causes so many problems. From studies we find garlic can boost immune functioning by stimulating white blood cells. Garlic increases the antibody functions and as an antioxidant it is said to minimize free radicals in the blood!

There are many health benefits of ginger root such as curing nausea and helping with digestion. Arthritis is helped by it and circulation; helping a healthy cardiovascular system. So is this how it helps the cramping? It is great for the symptoms of respiratory conditions, colds and allergies. Claims are it benefits a stronger immune system, causes sharper memory and cognitive functioning, increase energy, improved digestion, weight management, and cause a slowing down of the aging process.

Wow; now if it does half of that, it is worth adding to a diet! There are a few warning though that I felt I should add that you may want to be aware of; especially if you are on a blood thinner or expecting to have surgery!

*Ginger root may amplify stomach acid production so can interfere with the use of antacids. It also may act as a blood thinner to increase the risk of bleeding when taken with blood-thinners such as aspirin, anti-coagulants, anti-platelet drugs, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. There are some reports that eating too much ginger root may cause heartburn, diarrhea and irritation in the mouth. People with gallstones should consult their doctors prior to taking ginger as it is known to increase bile flow.

*Garlic also thins the blood which can be a very good thing but must take caution if on blood thinners.

Jackie, on my way out the door, but voted up, useful and Awesome! So glad to see this, as I have it in my house, and I tell you it DOES work in SECONDS ...I take a swig and it's over! BUT it tastes awful, mostly like strong vinegar, but I will take that over the pain. THANK you for telling me it works for restless legs...for some reason I did not know that.

SO appreciate your promoting this very important item. Blessings, Sparklea :)

Hi sweet friend,

Oh, I am SO glad you shared this wonderful product and more than that knowing it truly works in about a minute! As you know, I have suffered with terrible cramps in my feet since I have been a teenager and every doctor tells me "oh, that is strange" and that's it! Well, it was one of my sisters who actually bought this wonderful all-natural Amish remedy for terrible cramps, as she over-heard me one night suffering terribly with such horrible cramps for hours on end. The bones in my toes even bend and just will not straighten out for nothing. Unfortunately, my cramps are unusual, in that they are now occurring on top of my feet and on top of my shines, not on the bottom of my feet or on the calves of my legs. After she bought it for me, and I thought $17.99 was too much, and I had one of my horrible nights of pain, I resorted to just drinking it straight LOL. It worked within the one minute guaranty! I would never have believed it, were it not for my own personal experience. Just the other night, after wearing (I will never learn) high heels all day at work, on came the terrible toes, feet and legs (on-top) cramps, and so I ran to the cabinet and sprinkled some on the areas and then put some in some juice and drank it all up. In just a minute, sweet relief!!! Thank you God for creating such wonderful all-natural remedies for such pain. He is sweet like that, you know!

I am blessed beyond measure knowing that it helps you in some way, and I am so glad I shared this wonderful product with you dearest friend.

Voted up ++++ tweeting, G+ and sharing ... hoping it will help many others!

(((HUGS)))

Faith; I have found out I cannot go too long without some in my system. I said here and thought I would make it through last night without any but I didn't. I had to get up and drink some about 3AM so I am just going to start adding a squirt to a drink every night. I cannot take it straight. EW... It is so strong; but I guess that is why it works. I am so happy I got that great deal; you should order that while it is so low! I can't wait til my husband has a pain to let him try it topically. Nice perfume! lol

It really is just a miracle what it has done for me. Thank God; yes.

Oh, I truly do not like the thought of you being in pain for one second, but so thankful it helps, sweetie. There is no telling what all God has provided in His creation to help with whatever is ailing us! He is just so sweet, and we need to place our full trust and faith in Him that He always provide for us. It is definitely terrible tasting, but when I added the 2 oz. to my fruit juice, it went done easily!

Hugs and much love always

Jackie Lynnley profile image

Jackie Lynnley 2 years ago from The Beautiful South Author

You mean 2 oz fruit juice I hope. 2 oz of the remedy will have you feeling no pain for a good while!

I have always bought bible remedies books and used natural remedies for years and it is a good thing since no doctor found my problem but still as the nerve has gotten more narrow the pain has increased and I really do think there is a second problem. Fybromyalgia, possibly as the doctor suggested. She knew right where to tap her fingers to bring the pain. Will discuss that with my doctor next time.

Glad it takes care of your pain too and they make the reflux remedy did you see? I really think this remedy does it though for reflux too, although it doesn't claim to.

Yes, LOL, that is what I mean! hahaha I am so blessed you keep me in line, sweet friend. It has been a Monday for me, all the way around, even though it is actually Tuesday LOL, if you understand my meaning. I know you are ever vigilant to use the natural remedies, sweetest friend. Yes, you have added much more information as to what all it helps! I am so blessed to know about the reflux, as I have been sleeping with two pillows every night since I had a bad attack of reflux many years ago, and one does not soon forget such! I will also share the restless leg information here with my hubby, as he suffers with such, and it keeps him awake many nights! Thank you so much, sweetheart, for sharing of the additional information that I was unaware and clueless. Who knows, just how much sharing this information would bring you to the understanding that you know so much more of what this wonderful natural remedy could do via God!

I know that it does not claim to help with reflux, but being you have shared that it does, is amazing! Thank you so much sweet friend!

Hugs and much love always

The thing I notice though Faith is that although it doesn't claim this is for reflux the remedy they do sell for reflux has the same ingredients? But it sure wouldn't hurt to get the other if this doesn't do it for you both but it does me and as I mentioned in the hub ginger root which you can buy and keep frozen (or not) and grate in your salad allows you to eat onion, garlic and just anything without bothering you. I found that out about 5 years ago. I buy thumb size ginger fresh real often at about a quarter each but in winter I zip them up in baggies to freeze.

Faith Reaper profile image

Hi sweetheart, yes, I do know about the ginger and have written about such as it is truly an amazing ingredient to add to one's diet, especially as a possible preventative to cancer!

I am going to try this for my leg cramps and see if it helps my pain as well. I only have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, Sciatica pain, bursitis and arthritis as well as GERD. I have RLS occasionally and since I have restricted sugar it has helped a lot of things. Sugar substitutes were the cause of RLS for me. Sugar makes yeast and inflammation. Great article and I hope you will have less pain Jackie. I know how that is.

Jackie, I’m so sorry you are going through this, and I’m glad you have found something that relieves the pain. Will it work for arms and shoulders? How long does the relief from a dose last?

I was in a city bus rollover in 2006 that left me with such strange pain, especially in my upper arms, and chronic fatigue, I was beginning to think I had fibromyalgia, but the doctor diagnosed me with reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) because the pain was localized in the upper part of my body. It isn’t like a cramp. It is an excruciating burning sensation that makes me grab my arms and try to massage the pain away. The only med I have found that doesn’t leave me with side effects as bad as or worse than the pain is Lyrica. Well and good, except that with a manufacturer’s coupon and insurance, it still costs me about $200 per month. In addition to that, I have an elevated liver enzyme panel and may have to go off of Lyrica anyway.

I wonder if anyone else has tried this remedy for RSD?

Jackie Lynnley profile image

Jackie Lynnley 2 years ago from The Beautiful South Author

I don't know MizB; I hope they will tell if they did. Why not ask in questions? I just bet it will help you for much of my pain is in my arms all the way up! It is a low cost to find out and no worry of mixing with medicines being natural. I just cannot express how wonderful it is for me and there are two or three above who swear by it too! Honestly I think someone else with my pain may have been suicidal for it was so severe and nothing but OTC pain meds. It is a miracle remedy to me!

I'm a little confused about the name. Is this Caleb Treeze Organic Farms Stops Leg & Foot Cramps on Amazon? The picture of the bottle is the side that lists the ingredients, and I can't tell. I would be willing to invest $10.50 to try an 8 oz bottle if this is the right stuff.

Jackie Lynnley profile image

Jackie Lynnley 2 years ago from The Beautiful South Author

The best deal I have found is a link here in comments and the real thing looks like this bottle at top. Caleb Treeze Farms I guess makes it and you can buy it from them but it will probably cost you more. Try that link and see or just type it in and different places will have it, as long as they show that bottle you are good to go! Up where it says save big buck is where I got my last but I got 5 bottles. If you just get one it is cheap but you have to pay postage and I have no idea how much. Try it though or more than one and you can back out if you don't like it. Sure hope you manage to get it.

Glad to hear that you found relief, Jackie. Got a real poser for you. Your comment on my yesterday's Life at Boomer Lake went by the wayside. It is not in the spam folder. I did get an auto-generated message that you made one, but I cannot find it. Figure that one out!

Yes it is some really great stuff. All kinds of crazy things happen here Deb; don't worry about it.

Having used the ingredients individually in the past it is interesting, but not surprising :) , that the Amish have this formula. Thanks for the reminder and for highlighting the product for us!

If you don't like the taste Randall put it in something you do like because I am sure it will help you! My friend here that told me about it just swigs it down and I am pretty brave but I just cannot stand it that way! lol So I do what I have to to get it down and lately I put it in a drink every evening and have no more symptoms like that.

Good luck and God bless.

What interesting information! I´m glad you found something for your muscle cramps. I had no idea they could be so severe, even keeping a person up at night. My husband always says when he has Charlie horses that he needs to eat more bananas for the potassium. But these ingredients sound very effective and I definitely prefer natural remedies. I also take apple cider vinegar when I have problems with acid reflux. It wipes it out in a few minutes! Thank you for sharing your experience with this remedy.

You are welcome vespa and thank you. It is wonderful stuff and I don't know what I would do without it! I was miserable before I started using it regularly. I like natural too and always in search of good things to try!

Great to see you!

can this be found at over the counter pharmacy?

Jackie Lynnley profile image

Jackie Lynnley 23 months ago from The Beautiful South Author

No peachy it has to be ordered online as far as I know unless some health food store or Natural Remedy place carries it and I just don't know about that but I know you would save money to order it online. The first I was going to order would have cost me $20 and that was from Amazon (pretty sure) but by ordering two it ended up costing me $30 with no shipping so that was $15 a bottle. Since I learned what a miracle it is I have ordered it from Total Nutrition Inc and getting 5 bottles at a time I get it no shipping $10 a bottle and although I am just on my second bottle I gave my son a bottle because he works hard and has muscle cramps from that and I know I will take this all my life so why not get it at the best deal. You can look online and may get one bottle at a better deal than I saw. Good luck; I know you will love it.

As a long-time restless leg sufferer, this caught my attention. I am sure willing to give it a shot. Thanks for the in-depth info.

That is what I thought Lisa and then when I got it I didn't use it as it said, I would pour a few drops in some soda and yeah it helped a little. When I was scolded to use it right I did and I will always be so thankful. I would recommend it to almost anyone for it is natural and can help even more than restless leg. When I started taking it regular I had no indigestion problems. What a plus, huh?

Thanks for reading.

I found this hub to be very useful, and will try this and hope it works for my husband and me. My husband use to get quinine pills from the doctor, but for some reason they can't prescribe them anymore. As for the video of RLS,I had that for years before they diagnosed Parkinson. Thanks for the information and hope your pain doesn't come back.

Jackie Lynnley profile image

Jackie Lynnley 22 months ago from The Beautiful South Author

Well ladyquitarpicker it won't solve all my problems since I require surgery on my neck but I have a feeling I will never want to be without this stuff and I believe it so much so I purchase it in large enough amounts to get the best deal and to keep some up ahead too. I have already shared with my son and who knows who else I will take pity on and I sure don't want to run short. Believe me though it lasts a long time even using it every night! You will be amazed I promise you. Please get back after you have tried it.

Yes pocono, it should. I use it for cramps in my feet legs and hands that usually all come at once so I about bet it would. My mom use to get those and I didn't know about this stuff then and she went up on her toes several times a day to help prevent those cramps in the arches. They didn't do away with them but that really did help so you may want to try that while you are waiting on your remedy.

We usually use pickle juice for leg cramps but this Amish Leg and Foot cramp remedy sounds much healthier. I'll have to get some and try it.

You sure wont be sorry Susan; I am amazed at the good such a small dose can do and I think there are 30 doses in each bottle which is 30 days so you cannot get a better deal. After I realized I never wanted to be without it I bought 5 bottles getting a much better deal not having to pay postage either!

Like you I am disabled because of the pain I have to endure and have pretty much resided to living on drugs for the rest of my life, which goes against my grain of being anti-mediation of any kind. Chiropractic adjustments and massage help a lot but not completely. This is something I will have to look into. Thanks for the info!

You are welcome June. I decided for the surgery (have a hub about it) and it went really well. I mean I came through with flying colors, and some pain of course until all the healing is done but no choking or need for therapy and all. Have to rest often but am up and out everywhere! I suppose I could still be considered disabled but life has gotten 80% better for sure. If I have any more surgeries they will be much easier and shorter duration of recovery. I would not even waste time dreading them like this time!

It is all natural so I guess I will never give it up; it helps so many things! I will skip it on days I make smoothies and have those ingredients in that but otherwise I sip it with OJ every evening.

Have a great weekend and Happy Easter to you too, Randall!

It is great Rebecca; the reflux and restless leg I sometimes experienced just disappeared and then I found out this is treatment for them too. They may be sold in different strengths for them but this worked so I am sticking with it!

Glad you stopped to read; maybe someone you know might be helped with it. Sure wish I had had it for Mom!

Hi Jackie, just wanted to let you know I recently bought another bottle of the Amish Remedy and I am drinking a capful a night. I have used it in the past but I ran out...saw its name somewhere in my diary which alerted me again! Will send you details later, and I deliberately looked up this hub again. I remember it from before and may have commented on it. Blessings. Sparklea

Thanks so much Sparklea for stopping back by as a witness it is a good product. I just ordered another supply (well 5 bottles) from Amazon and got it for the lowest price yet! So I have 6 or 7 bottles which should do me a good long time if I stop giving it away!

Blessing to you too dear and have a grand Thanksgiving!

Sparklea 12 months ago

I got my bottle from Amazon also...I get terrible leg and arm pains especially at night and awful restless legs - my husband does not know how I can stand to drink it. I just mix a capful with about 1/4 cup water and chug it down! I will keep you posted on how I feel...Hope you are doing well. how are you feeling lately?

Sparklea, I had those pains before my surgery and still afterwards but not as often or as bad. Seems as I heal it is getting much better because the nerve has been eased in my neck. I still use the remedy but like now it has been almost a week since I have. ( I have other pains but nothing the remedy helps, like muscle pain just below my neck and shoulder.)

Do you know what is causing your pain?
