Sometimes a breakup of a relationship, a death or something that has happened in someone's life to ruin their self esteem. It could be caused from too much dreary weather, loneliness, lack of things to do that are enjoyable, abuse, failing at many things tried and a number of other reasons. Another big reason why people can be depressed is because of abuse of alcohol or other substances. Besides the fact that alcohol is a depressant, it also depletes the body of essential vitamins and nutrients our bodies need to feel healthy.
When something like this is going on in someone's life, it is not always possible to get past and feel healthy and happy again without help. It is important to take steps and the right steps to overcome this depression.

If depressed, hopefully there is at least one person in your life who can help. If the person you talk to is suggesting counseling, going to the doctor, possibly getting a prescription, and beginning a vitamin regiment, that person is right on track with what needs to be done.
1. Understand that you can get well and it is something that can be taken care of.
2. Research vitamins that you may be lacking that will help with your feelings of depression
3. Get to the doctor and let him know exactly what's going on and for how long.
4. Stop using unhealthy products like alcohol.
Fight The Symptoms of Depression
Once something is found that helps with your depression, it is important to keep using that to fight the symptoms. Exercise, diet, vitamins, sunshine, keeping busy doing things that are enjoyable, surrounding yourself with positive people, therapy, medication, sleep, healthy eating, and yoga have all been proven effective in helping with depression.
So find your best way of fighting depression and stick to overcoming this dreadful condition.
