15 years back in a column in a newspaper an elderly male wrote: I am 65 years old and I lost my wife about two years ago. But for the feeling of loneliness which has me in its grip every once in a while, I am happily placed in life.

Employ them they Paid your Pay.

Employing senior citizens for what ever work they do may solve many of our country's problem in rural areas. Most of the senior citizens want to stat in urban areas since they expect to go anytime to a hospital. Most of the people think that going to a hospital they would stay alive for longer on this planet. The issue has extended to such a level that people want to stay close to a hospital since time taken to travel is considerably reduced.A relative of mine went to Australia on a visit went to see a relative in a hospital and died in the that hospital standing near the reception to inquire the ward in which his relative was admitted. If he was in India would he be alive. There is also another aspect on the question as to the availability of transport or a driver at night. One more question is the time that a ambulance would take to the hospital the person who needs medical attention urgently.Hospitals in India have a booming business with increase in population and senior citizens.A routine medical test with several labels such as Executive Medical Check Up,Senior Citizens Medical Check Up,Family Medical Check Up at various places other than hospital known as Diagnostic Centers do tests and they carry on their business with the help of doctors who practice medicine and do just consultation only are all located in various centers in most of the residential places.People flock to these Clinics in all branches of medicine to any organ in the body. There is no authority to check if the place is as good as it should be.I saw blood on the wall in a local dentist clinic. The medical waste is kept in some clinics where it should not be kept. The various schemes of govt of India is unseen and unheard except those who are over 60 but under 80 who pay no tax on taxable income of Rs.2,40,000/- pa.

Now that the UID is being issued to all let Govt of India open a Green Field Project like Aurovill near Puduchery and let those who can afford stay there and work to spend their time in peace. No NGO would dare to get involved in such a project.
